Hopefully this will answer a lot of questions for everyone (and curb some fears..??? =)
Thanks to eMpTy Kay for most of this work.
Please post your updated warlord stats according to the following guidelines, when you post your warlord to sign up for the next week you play that warlord in.
CONVERSION GUIDELINES:
Levels:
1. Any SPLs taken convert automatically to Caster Levels. Extra SPL and spell from the Spell Mastery feat is removed and another feat chosen of your choice.
2. Any Stealth Class eligible warlords/Lts may convert any number of their levels into Stealth Levels.
3. All other levels convert to Martial Levels.
Feats:
If you have a feat that has been eliminated or changed, you may pick a new feat of your choice. You must meet any prereq the new feat has. If you currently have a feat that now requires a prereq that you don't have, you may keep that feat (grandfathered in) or choose a new one.
Spells:
Because of some major changes in the spell list, and the removal of the Spell Mastery feat, all warlord/Lts with Caster levels must repick all their spells from the new lists.
Promoted Lts:
1. Promoted Lts who did not choose a CFX upon promotion and are 30pts or less: gain +1 CR, and partial CFX, and the option to gain +1 CR and the promo CFX for 5pts
2. Promoted Lts who did not choose a CFX and are over 30pts: gain +1 CR, and partial CFX
3. Promoted Lts who did choose a CFX upon promotion and are 30pts or less: replace your current CFX with a partial CFX....and choose whether you want to keep the +5pts for an additional +1 CR and promo effect, or just remove the +5pts
4. Promoted Lts who did choose a CFX upon promotion and are more than 30 pts: remove the +5pts AND EITHER replace your current CFX with a partial CFX OR replace your current CFX with a warband building CFX AND MARK IT WITH (g) so we know it is a grandfathered ability
Non-Promoted Lts:
If you have an Lt that is no longer legal, or that the new promotion rules really mess with your plans, you may distribute the XP to any creature(s) you choose (split between two or three if you like), that you have ever used in your warband (please quote the game report showing the use of the creature when you post your conversion in the sign-up thread)
Magic Items:
1. If a magic item POWER you have no longer exists (or has been moved to a different strength), reroll the power using the same TYPE of item.
2. If you have an item TYPE that no longer exists (cape/robe etc) reroll the TYPE (reroll collars) using the same POWER
3. If you have a unique item that no longer exists, roll a new unique item.
4. If the power of your item has only changed slightly, you may choose to keep the new version of the power.
5. If you have an item that doesn't fit any of the above, completely re-roll the item (and no, you can't reroll items that haven't changed).
6. All re-rolls are on the new V3 tables. There are no re-rolls.
7. If you have an item that has increased in strength to Major (Flaming Weapons etc.) you may trade in another medium you possess to keep the item, or choose one of the other options above.
Over the weekend, The EC Vet group will have a room open and logging for players to re-roll their items and hopefully answer any questions =) regarding warlord conversion.
Unfortunatley it's not really possible to make everyone happy when moving to a new version, but we've tried to be flexible where it is reasonable and changes might completely destroy your warlord or your plans for him.
