Week 65 and V3 Launch Tournament Round 3
Scenario: Bounty Hunters
WEEKLY NOTES AND UPDATES:
If you haven't played for a few weeks, please make sure you browse this section of the weeks you have missed so you are up on any changes... last week
- The Tournament has it's own thread here . This is the final round before playoffs for the A and C pools. One more round for the B Pool (see tourney thread for details)
- Tip o' the Week: You can search the EC rules to quickly find something by clicking the "search" submenu under the resources tab at the bottom of the main menu.
- Rules Clarification: Tkort pointed out that the number of magic items an Lt could use is different in two different places in the rules. The correct rule is an Lt can use a number of items equal to its Warlord Level +1 (there is no 3 item limit, once you reach level 3 you can use 3+1 = 4 items)
- Stats Updating Team: We've gathered a small stats updating tag-team to reduce the burden on the admin. This has been working awesome the last few weeks so hopefully we can continue it for now and future admins. Thanks to Zippy, Richard II and eMpTy Kay who have been helping with the stats updates.

- Still need to V3ed? If your warlord is still V2 (if you still have an asterix by your name in the stats) then please post in this thread you V3 conversion using these guidelines.
- Frequently Asked Questions
can be found in this thread << this is FAQ from V2. Although it may be helpful, it also may no longer be accurate. V3 includes pop-up FAQ by hovering your mouse over the  scattered throughout the rules.
- Log files can be viewed here and should be sorted by week #. Upload log files here, ensure the filename begins with the week number and identifies both players.
- Stats and Standing are posted here or the Eternal Campaign link at the top tight of this site. It is each players responsibility to ensure their stats have been correctly updated and to post clarifications to any ??? left by the admin
- Scenario information for the current round can be found here.
- Deadlines are Sunday midnight (GMT -8) to post your match results (including late games and unplayed), Monday midnight for the weekly schedule to be posted, and Sunday midnight (GMT -8) to sign up for the following week's games. If you are late signing up, go ahead any way as there is a chance you can be put on the schedule if it hasn't already been posted =).
- Hall of Fame is posted here. If you think he is worthy, nominate your warlord for the Eternal Campaign Hall of Fame.
- Promote the Eternal Campaign by adding this link to your signature on maxminis, wizards, and any other board you frequent.
- Game Reports should be posted using this template or something similar
- Do Not Post Disputes...email them to me. Dispute, penalty, and other guidelines can be found in this thread

I'm gonna have to take the blame for this and the one that AD mentioned. Looks like when I was doing updates when people levelled I forgot to change their level stat fairly often even though I did the exp and put in the level upgrades, but the schedbot reads the level value, so if I didn't change that it still thought y'all were of lower level. It could just be a case of semantics. I do the sam,e thing all the time, since I forget we start at level 0, unlike in the rpg at level 1. | |

My LG is at 2000 xp. My CG is at 2500. Both of my game reports from week 64 are on the first page of the thread. It looks like you have some of my xp totals wrong... My CE LT, Subotai, should be at 875 xp. Also, I don't think there's a C in Xen'Drik. | |

This was the first game Jai and I had ever played against each other. [:O]
Twas a close one. I drew first blood spanking Torch, but then the dire bear got whacked and that netted jai 88 pts. I managed to kill the unmarked dragonne and then the marked one to take a commanding lead. I was fortunate that redgar missed a bigby's induced aoo on my commander, since if he'd hit an orb from the wizard woulda been a morale save for my commander. But otherwise I was able to sanctuary myself and run away while my xendricks and rikka finished off redgar.

One your responsibilities as a player is to ensure your stats are updated correctly. If you posted your stats early in the week, then you should have noticed your stats were wrong after the first update and posted a correction. As you can see by not doing so the problems get compounded =P | |

When were stats posted?
I posted these were incorrect as soon as I saw them. Heck, the stats even has the levels included despite not listing the xp...
Anyway, what's the solution? Do I play my games as if I were the appropriate level or are my games this week at a reduced warband size? | |

| Last week I did a round of updates on Wednesday that would've encompassed your warlords. So there were 4 days or so to catch this. It's why we always post the line "stats updated till here, check em". It's not just to give us something to say. [:)]
Anyway, you should play your games as they should be at the proper level. Just make sure you inform your opponent beforehand in case we don't get the stats updated beforehand. | |

| Jai: I don’t want to be an asshole but according to the ranking list torch has1750XP. When he dies in the mach against Richard he only earns 125 XP. That’s a total of 1875 XP.

Summary: The first round of battle saw the troops moving about. Sir Lander's Axe Soldiers were placing themselves for teleportation as Sir Lander Blessed them. Sir Gadwyn took to make sure they were in their places. Eshe's forces were preparing to defend an attack from either teleporter near them.
The second round saw Dabble move to get a better line of sight for the area he suspcted the attack to come from while the Hill Dwarf held his ground. Sir Lander joined with his troops and Sir Gadwyn came to his position to discuss tactics. Both Eshe and the Gold Champion repositioned themselves. The Axe Soldiers moved through the teleporter and overtook the Hill Dwarf.
Thus in the beginning of the third round the Hill Dwarf avoided an attack from Soldier A but X was able to get his through ending the Dwarf's time in this battle. Seeing his his target Soldier E charged Dabble with a vicious swing of his axe and sent dabble running for the Exit. But to get there he crossed paths with Soldier A who finished what E started. Sir Lander then moved through the teleporter and shone the Light of Lathander on Eshe. Golden Staff Charged E and smacked him for making Dabble run away. Eshe also tried to avenge Dabble but missed. Sir Gadwyn and the Gold champion moved but were both cautious because they knew that there was a bounty on their heads.
In the fourth round E used the Ring of Blast Flesh that Sir Lander bestowed upon him to deal some damage to Eshe and the Hunted. Both A and X charged Eshe and hit their marks. Eshe was wounded but would not leave his troops behind. Sir Lander moved up and continued shining the Light of Lathander on Eshe. Eshe with his ears still ringing landed a solid hit on E scaringthe living daylight out of him. In his fright he ran right past Golden Staff, who missed his free swing . Determined not to let it happen again Golden Staff moved foward and followed though on A. Sir Gadwyn moved up to help out the Soldiers and the Gold Champion moved and let out his breath weapon. Sir gadwyn was able to roll out of the majority of it but got a little singed.
Starting the fifth round off Sir Lander was not about to let one of his men run away with out trying to help him so he moved through a teleporter to appear in front of E. Seeing his glorious commander E was healed and stayed to help his friends. X landed a falling blow on Eshe and A showed Golden Staff what an Axe Soldier is made of, who returned the favor making A unsure of himself as he started for the exit. Seeing his opportunity the Gold Champion rushed out and yelled "You want me? Come get me!". He showed X that he would be in for a fight to collect the bounty. Sir Gadwyn knowing he was also a target moved foward to engage his nemisis. With his huge sword and distaste for dragons he made it clear that he would defeat the Gold Champion or fall trying.
In round six Sir Lander moved to help out A who shook off his fear and was healed as well. E moved to flank and X attempted to hit the bounty. Golden Staff Critically hit Gadwyn and the Gold Champion succeded on hitting with his first and missing his killing blow on Sir Gadwyn. Gadwyn hit back and mad the Gold Champion nervous but he decided to stick it out. Missing with his second attack brought round 6 to a close.
Round seven saw Sir Gadwyn, Golden Staff, the Gold Champion, and E miss every chance they had. Sir Lander cast a healing spell on Sir Gadwyn while soldier X hit the Gold Champion and A moved to threaten Golden Staff.
In round 8 Sir Gadwyn fell. The Axe Soldiers couldn't hit the broad side of a Red Dragon, Sir Lander healed Sir gadwyn again but it proved futile as the Gold Champion scored two solid and fatal hit on Sir Gadwyn. Golden Staff attacked the soldier in fron of him and hit and the round was over.
The final round started with E tripping oer his own two feet. The Gold Champion was laughing so hard that he failed to notice X's swing, which was the critical hit that the ended the game.
