Recon in Force
WEEKLY NOTES AND UPDATES:

- I (AesophDarkfable) am going to be make shift admin for awhile. EmptyKay, Richard2, and Zip are all my helped co-admins for stat updates etc. Galn is gone for 6 weeks or so.
- READ::: Make sure you are uploading logs. I will check logs from last week tomorrow. If your log is not there you get one warlord next week. Also make sure in the sign up thread to bold your warlord name and follow the instructions.
- EC Code of Conduct: is now posted and linked to below in the standing info below the sched. Thanks to those who provided feedback...still tkaing it if anyone else wants to provide some =)

Still need to V3ed? If your warlord is still V2 (if you still have an asterix by your name in the stats) then please post in this thread you V3 conversion using these guidelines.
Frequently Asked Questions can be found in this thread << this is FAQ from V2. Although it may be helpful, it also may no longer be accurate. V3 includes pop-up FAQ by hovering your mouse over the  scattered throughout the rules.
Log files can be viewed here and should e sorted by week #. Upload log files here, ensure the filename begins with the week number and identifies both players.
Stats and Standing are posted here or the Eternal Campaign link at the top tight of this site. It is each players responsibility to ensure their stats have been correctly updated and to post clarifications to any ??? left by the admin
Scenario information for the current round can be found here.
Deadlines are Sunday midnight (GMT -8) to post your match results (including late games and unplayed), Monday midnight for the weekly schedule to be posted, and Sunday midnight (GMT -8) to sign up for the following week's games. If you are late signing up, go ahead any way as there is a chance you can be put on the schedule if it hasn't already been posted =).
Hall of Fame is posted here. If you think he is worthy, nominate your warlord for the Eternal Campaign Hall of Fame.
Promote the Eternal Campaign by adding this link to your signature on maxminis, wizards, and any other board you frequent.
Game Reports should be posted using this format..

In the signup tread I wrote that I was promoting my lieutenant Victor to be my new Commander. I also mailed you about the promotion of my lieutenant. He’s only level 3 and I have been scheduled for a 200 point mach without support.

I would guess that you signed up Natas before the deadline, promoted Victor after the deadline, and Zippy (who does the scheduling, not Aesoph) already scheduled it with Natas. | |

Yes, he should have listed he was promoted Victor rather than Natas in the sign-up thread, but since Victor & Shogun Cu are within the limit range of playing warlords. And I know it would be frustrating to have to play the game for saintPauli, since Victor would only be able to get 500xp (at most), not give any XP to a differnet Lt and probably get a magic item he will not be bringing along with Victor if he has to wait a week to promote Victor.
Cool. That works for me. Drop him a note on it etc.

Summary:
Bork Bork couldn't make anything sweedish style out of this Pickle. Charles ran his units round the bottom of the keep. Pickle headed them off as the Chraal ran around to the back. The patrols surrounded Pickle ans the Chraal breathed on Bork/Tiefling and the Sting. Both made all saves. When Bork/Tiefling went in on Pickle though, Pickle routed Bork and sent him packing for the Chraal to finish. Kale came in and with a flank from Pickle routed Bork/MDP. All Pickle's units retreated to Charles' side and were poised to move off when Charles conceeded.

Summary:
This was a good game. It played out along the lower corridor. Hail worked hard to RoE the deep dragon, nerfing him good, and tried to give me either Rikka or Aramil for the dragons breath weapon. It almost worked until I thought to flip the cone and hit both. I then had Rache charge Rikka and hit for a total of 30 damage, forcing a morale check that she failed. She eventually ran off the board having only taken one attack on the dragon. The Dire bear based Lortap, which was a mistake since Lortap hit the bear twice and then the Slaad attack to force morale. The bear saved, but I won init the next round and after failing to hit twice to get a deadly rend attempt, had Lortap hit the bear twice to kill it. The bear also got only one attack in. Lortap ended up failing Morale after a hit from one of the half-orc barbarians, and since I was not that far from my start area, I routed off the board. I would say it was a back and forth game that was not dominated by either of us. We were both hitting and miss. Even with Rache attacking at +22 while the dragon was around.

Summary:
The battle converged in the middle of the keep. Fodder on both sides was taken out, and Puck routed the Orc Druid with a well placed empowered melf's. Eiru and a Goliath ran past Silent Stalker to put pressure on Gork, routing him as he tried to move. As all of Eiru's army converged on the HGB, the HGB barely made its morale save to stay fielded. Next turn it killed Eiru and routed one goliath. However the remaining goliath managed to take out the barbarian after a winning init. It was then just a race to the exit for the goliath to get off the board to finish the game. Great game chuckles! One init the other way and it would be a very different story. | |

Both of Muggle's chraals breathed on Maul and the horror, and both failed two saves (though Maul made morale). The helmed horror went down first, but not before hitting Graznik a couple of times, which set him up to be killed off by Pike. The dragon quickly followed, going down to the combined attacks of a chraal and efreeti. It didn't take much longer for the ranger, slowed chraal, and Maul to die. The efreeti then fell to Pike. In the end, it came down to Muggle, a chraal and Tharch vs. Pike and his chraal. Pike got Tharch to fail a phantom threat save, but after they both healed with their glorious recovery items, Muggle's chraal made morale and Pike's failed. That was the difference as Tharch and the chraal converged on Pike and finished off the goblin. | | | |

Summary:
Mag took a few potshots at my units, but didn't really do a whole lot of damage. Subotai shot his duergar and routed him, which left a clear line for the orc champion to charge the zhentarim. He cut him in half, and was able to cleave into the previously hidden Underboss. Thanks to a crit and a low morale save, Mag routed off the board, taking the chraal with him. Madda moved his units back, but then remembered the fact that I could run off and win, and instead blocked the exit. I surrounded the khumat and routed it. With nowhere to go, no chance of rallying, and no other units, Madda would be unable to win the game. I suppose I slowly beat the Khumat to death with my weakest unit... the cursed spirit. Yeah, that sounds good. That'd take about 20 rounds... | |

Summary:
This was the shortest game ever. On the first round the armies advanced to each other and Trestius summoned a Sacred Watcher. On the second round Zaltor the Mounted Drow Patrol used his Wall Walking, attacked and routed Trestius the Grim Necromancer and the match was over.
Note to admins: I think that Trestius is missing XP. His only play was against one of my warlords last week, so he should had have 250 XP before the match and not 125. | |

In talking with dj-chuckles on AIM (via his cell phone), it looks like it's going to take a few days (3-4ish) to take care of his computer problems. His hard drive crashed and he had to reformat the whole thing. So dj-chuckles and I won't be getting our second match in this week. Please make it a draw.
It's likely that the Charles_VI v. dj-chuckles won't get played either for the same reason. | |
