| I will now be organizing Vassal tournaments and here is your chance to provide input to the process.
Let me know what you want in tournament formats.
Do you want constructed? draft? 100, 200 or 500 point? All the above? All at once or one at a time? Assult?
How about prize support? Do you want to donate something to join and then have a draft of the prizes? Do you want to have a $$$ pool?
Provide me as much information as possible and we will get the tournaments started soon.
Thanks.

| 200 point Constructed is my preference, as well, and it could be fun to have several different tournament events running concurrently if that can be managed. :)
Edit: I also favor no prizes. (And that's not just because I anticipate many losses...)

| I'd say 200 point Constructed are going to get the most support and attention. The Epic tournament when Dagni attempted all the possibilities didn't get many participants. Sealed worked okay but the format was changing boosters every round which I thought was a bad idea. You could get a great pull the first round and win then get crap next time and lose. I'd rather stick with the same boosters and map. Anything else was kind of a bummer. Even so the time involved for a limited event of any kind was terrible. Drafts took days to complete before you could even start playing with everyone on different schedules and all.
Prize support shouldn't be anything too involved. $$$ seems odd for online play plus I'd be concerned on how you're going to collect the money. I know Dagni had some prize support planned (the Aspect of Moradin Runelord painted I believe). Perhaps we could put out feelers for possible prizes from maxminis members or vendors that might be willing offer up something for the promotion of being advertised as the prize supporter. Just a thought there. You could poke at Vesivus or Auggie or whoever and see if they'd be willing to put something up. Perhaps a nice rare or two for the winners.

| WotDQ sealed 200 constructed 500 epic
In preference order
Can run all at once
I prefer more of a "weekly matchup" than a game-a-week tournament, since it allows for dropping out whatever week is too busy to play. Could have ongoing win/loss stats instead of swiss rounds.
Prize support, nah, prefer that for live games only. I think judgeless Vassal with no time limits is not a good forum for competitive prize-based play. Use those prizes instead to promote real world games, imo.

| I really enjoyed 200 pt constructed and limited during the last set of Vassal tournaments. The bigges problem I noticed was the drafting took forever and I got impatient while waiting for everyone to make their picks. However, I think drafting is the most fun format so I suggest that everyone in a particular draft pod should agree to get together on vassal at a certain time and do all the drafting at once. Get it all done in maybe a half-hour or less instead of a week.
As far as running mulitiple tournaments at once, I think you should do one of each format at a time. It seemed that with so many tournaments going on at once last time things started getting a bit overwhelming. Also if there are fewer tournaments then there is more prestige in each tournament and people will care more about actually scheduling all their games instead of dropping out after a game or two.
I think prizes would be a good idea, maybe something along the lines of special repaints and such. Cash rewards could be a little difficult to work out but mini's prizes are always nice.
I'm really looking forward to a new round of vassal tournaments and I thank you for your efforts in organizing it. | | | |

| 200pt/Non Asslt is my suggestion. Will play whatever format you come up with. Thanks for making this happen.
