| Another wild and crazy Eternal Campaign battle!
1. Unger, Dire Bear, Zombie White Dragon, Orc Savage, Timberwolf*2, 1000 XP 2. No level, 4750 XP total 3. 500 XP to Lulu the Orc Savage 4. +1 Lvl, +1 Att, +10 HP 5. Major Heightened Scroll 6. None
7. Sally, Warforged Hero, Dragon Samurai 8. 250 XP 9. No level, 4000 XP total 10. +1 Armor 11. Minor Quickened Scroll Used
12. Chris won terrain init and smartly made me go first. I placed a SS Mummy's Crypt right in the center of the board. Two treasure rooms and a Torture Chamber divided the board up quite a bit. Both bands only had one commander which seemed like it would have a major impact on the game.
Chris won init the first round and passed to me. The Zombie Dragon flew forward 4 creating a 1 square path for Sally to move through. However, Sally activated her shield and sprinted 19 squares out of the other side of the Torture Chamber to a spot where both of her buddies were now in command. This allowed the nasty Samurai to hit both the Bear and Unger with his breath.
The wild bear charged the Samurai and hit. The Druid added a Snake's Swiftness (critical hit) and then moved through the treasure room wall to get a wolf under command. The Hero moved to set up a powerful charge on the bear for next round. The brave wolf ran forward and took a closer position to the Hero and was right next to Sally.
Sally again wins init. The Samurai hits twice leaving the still wild bear 5 HP from a MC. Sally (+4 AC) braves the wolf's attack to move to either heal the Samurai or hit the bear. The wolf hits with a stunning attack that actually stuns Sally. The bear hit the Samurai once, and Unger moved back through the wall to charm the beast. The Hero then moves and hits the bear who passes morale. The Zombie Dragon and Lulu moved within sight of the action and the wolf critically hit Sally.
With Sally stunned, the Druid won initiative. The bear hit the Samurai twice, killing him. A SS put 10 damage on the Hero, and then Unger moved through two walls to get the savage and the dragon under command. Sally unstuns and the Hero hits the bear once. The dragon flies to base Sally and the Hero, providing the bear with a flanker. Lulu charged Sally and critically hits her, gaining his extra 20 HP.
Sally used her scroll for healing the next round, and the Hero only hit once again. The Druid used Bear's endurance on the bear moving him back to 25 hp. The dragon and the bear did a number on the Hero, forcing a morale check. *2* Sally surrendered to the mercy of the druid at that point.
Chris did a great job of getting his folks under command early in the game. The Samurai's breath did 20 to the bear and scared me. The freakish stun from the wolf turned the game even though the rolls would have given me the initiative in round 3 even if Sally was not stunned.
Three critical hits for 40 damage total also helped out my cause.
Good game ChristoperGroves. The Dice Bot was not on your side tonight.

OC used 1 of his Pot of Ethrealness uses on the Orc Sarg. My Pot still has all of its uses...He killed my Sharn and Rag early, but I got off Ranara's Smite on one of his Hobgoblins for 15 then shot it for 5 with sharn, it ran. Then I critted his full hp Hobgob for 40 dmg, killing it. He rallys his running hob and it comes back and gets killed by the Goliath which has taken 10 dmg from his Hob I killed with the Crit. Then it was the Orc Sarge vs Goliath Barb and the Bladesinger who was based by the Sarge. I used quickcast to stun it, he failed and I missed both attacks with the blade because of Incorp. The Goliath then moved into flanking and hit the orc routing him. He is now at 20/40 from the Goliath. He failes his MC and runs and takes 5 from an aoo then he failed his MC next turn and ran. No level, 9750 XP total 10. (min) Potion of Sprinting [][] 11. none
BATTLE REPORT
Scattered throughout the mists were Bertha's and Krawd's troops, eager for combat. 3 Salamanders immediately pounced on Regdar and Rask, routing Regdar right away. Rask routed a salamander before a bladebearer came in to help slice him up, and sent him running. Bertha moved to intercept the fleeing allies and rally them.
Meanwhile a battle raged center stage. Ignavus sprayed acid with great effect, scorching one LFM and the Artificer. Forix tossed a rock on top of Bazagen, crushing the little dwarf outright. In return, a Monk sent one bladebearer running and the pair of monks conspired to flank Forix. The monks beat Forix to within an inch of his life, when Krawd, who'd fallen back to prevent his routing troops from fleeing, activated his sprinting shield and reached one monk in time to dispatch it. Forix took care of the other monk with the aide nearby allies.
Bertha regrouped with her remaining forces, Rask and Regdar. Regdar summoned an air elemental for aid. Only the Artificer was left stranded, with Ignavus eventually plopping down to snack upon him.
Seeing Krawd's forces collecting, still strong with a bladebearer, 3 salamanders, Forix, and a few minor goblinoids, Bertha called the charge. Krawd took the first few blows, and retaliated by downing Rask. The Air Elemental whirled with Regdar on its heals. Forix stayed back from the fight and pounded Regdar, then placed his attention on the well-fortified Bertha. The 3 Salamanders, a bladebearer, one hobgoblin warrior, Forix at a distance, and later Ignavus after killing the artificer all surrounded Bertha.
Bertha pulled the last trick from her bag and smited Krawd, stabbed, poked, and pounded Krawd to a bloody mess, but Krawd lived, barely. Finally the stalwart dwarf was dented, battered, and flayed open by the overwhelming numbers around her - the chaotic battle had ended.
Very interesting scenario. This was an excellent game. The dice went both ways, and neither warband made any glaring errors. A very enjoyable game! And thanks to TKort's stand-in friend who played for the 1st part of the game. | | There are 10 kinds of people in the world; those who understand binary, and those who don't. Battle Report: Pepro almost went go-go with 3 goliaths, but thankfully tullywi pointed out the rules of the scenario. I though there was just fog, but placement is a very important piece. I've never used Drizzt so I thought I'd give him a shot. The match was very close. Thanks to several lucky inits on my end and several poor rolls (especially for conceal) Pepro (actually Drizzt) pulled it out in the end. During placement, as fate would have it all of my units ended up "together" on my side of the board and all of tullywi's on the opposite end. Pepro moved in to take the cuthroat under command while Hilltop slowly moved closer to the hill dwarves and azer. Drizzt moved far away from Pepro and took out a hill dwarf warrior. The trio of monks then surrounded Pepro. On the next round, Drizzt had the option of moving double time to help out Pepro, but he decided to zero in on the cleric. He failed to connect, but got one hit in when the cleric quickly FLEW away with a magic belt to the other side of the board. Pepro took in some painful stunning attacks; the stuns had no effect and some missed altogether. The Sharn cuthroat snuck in to flank Ember, enough damage to make her think twice about staying in the battle. (She stayed). On the next round Pepro did a GMA to move the cuthroat within movement range of Drizzt, then tried to move to do the same. One of the AoOs was a crit, and another killed him outright. The cleric took his place, and then Drizzt did a double movement to base him. The rest of the match consisted of the cuthroat being killed by the hill dwarf warrior and Drizzt (with a lot of luck on his side) killing every single piece on the board.

First let me say that you thrashed me soundly. Ouch. I thought I had done a very clever move to get folks in command and catch your commander in the cone, but my cleverness got the best of me.
What I was going to do was both - hit the bear and then use the minor quickend scroll to put some healing on the Dragon Sam. I also thought this would be a nice clever move as well. Honestly, Sally had an AC of 24 against what ... +6 from a wolf? 10% chance of a hit and really, even then only a 25% chance I'd fail the stun. 2.5% chance to get a hit in on the bear (force an out of command morale check) AND heal my Dragon Sam? Yes please!
Unfortunately, Unger has trained that canine too well. Sally hath learned her lesson. | | Triangle DDM Skirmish Group | My Email | 45-ish trades and counting | Stuff for Trade * * * Show your brother some love and click here * * *

| Unfortunately due to technical issues Richard II had to forfeit our match
Winning warlord: Gorn the Skullsplitter (LE) Old Coast Winning warband: N/A Experience gained: 1000 exp, 1500 campaign points (3000 total) Warlord's leveling options +1 level (now level 2) +20 hp, +2 Attack, + 1 Command Lieutenant XP: 0- Ahmad, Zhent Fighter 500XP from week 20 (unchanged) Lieutenant leveling options N/A Magic item gained: retains Belt of one mightly blow (smite +5) Magic item lost: N/A
Losing warlord: Gharag II the Tiefling Captain (CE) Richard II Losing warband: N/A Experience gained: N/A warlord's leveling options N/A Magic item gained: N/A Magic item lost: N/A
I quickly scanned over the EC rules before work this morning and didn't see anything about direct forfeit. I am assuming here that I get the victory points and I am not sure of any penalties Richard II would get. I should add that Richard obviously didn't want to forfeit and kept in regular communication with me over the issues he is having with his computer. We definitely did our best to get the match to happen. This week just wasn't in the cards for him, however.

| For previous forfeits where both parties had good intensions, what did we do?
500XP no Lt. XP and a minor or something like that?
Does anyone remember? Is this something to clarify in the rules? Are there any other alternates who could fill for Richard II this week? | | There are 10 kinds of people in the world; those who understand binary, and those who don't. Reference Thread, H/W List, Champion of the Catoblepas

| The situation with oldcoast (LE) and Richard II (CE) is the same as a concession.
oldcoast (LE) will get 1500 campaign points, 1000 XP for his warlord, and *no Lt XP*. He also will gain a medium magic item.
Richard II (CE) will gain 250 XP and *no item*.
If no attempt had been made by Richard II to schedule the game or to explain his reasons for not playing by the end of the week, then a campaign penalty would have been assessed. oldcoast would have gotten his 1500 *campaign* points to distribute and a medium magic item. Richard II would have lost the points and gotten no item.
The best case scenario would have been if Richard II had given his spot up early in the week like he did with his (LE) warlord. However, he did exactly what I would have done. He kept the new warlord in hoping to get his computer fixed in time. Through regular communication he kept his opponent informed and unfortunately had to conceed do to computer problems.
oldcoast and Richard II, you both have done a good job of handling a bad situation. Richard II, get that computer fixed soon so you can join us again.

| Actually, I don't think I get 250 exp or a minor item. Taken from the EC rules:
"Warlords whose opponents do not show up on the battlefield will triumph and earn 1000XP for their warlord, 1500 campaign points, and a random medium magic item, however they do not gain the 500 Lt XP.The canceling warlord will not receive any benefits."

| What do I need to do for this week's match-up? As I said I had a limited time frame in which to play the match with moving. I had hoped to have internet access by Sunday, but I did not (stupid Comcast!). Call it a draw or should I concede? We did have a scheduled time but AngryIrish couldn't make it.
Edit: Angry I can play on Wednesday or Thursday night after about 7:30PM if you can make it then. My week 22 match is scheduled for Friday night. Again, I'll be using dial-up so it could be slow, but hopefully it will work out. Thanks.

The Medium Magic Item I rolles was a Wondrous Item, Bracelet of Minor Sonic Resistance (Resist 10 Sonic), that's real helpful. Somebody play a Coutal against me please.
