| Here's a by the book conversion for the black dragon (assuming it is based on the first size at which it is gargantuan)
gargantuan black dragon
CE Many Many points
AC 37 (lowered from 39 due to crappy touch AC)
HP 460
Speed F6?
Save/Level 25 (really not sure here)
Melee Attack +46/+43/+43(30 magic/20 magic/20 magic)
Special Abilities:
Melee Reach 3
Flight
Breath Weapon [][](line, 55 acid damage, DC 34) (I gave him two uses just because)
Greater Spell resistance (as spell resistance except caster must roll 16+)
Aura of Fear 6
Independant
it's sorta tricky to do stats for something that big, but that's my best effort.

| I suppose these will be useful for Dread Enemy scenarios. Maybe there will be events where people get to play in teams of four against a couple of these monstrosities.

| I don't think they will be direct converisons from the book. They did say they will be going in different directions with dragons now. I would suspect they come up with something specatular for dragons this size.
I'm personaly hoping they add some Draconoimicon feats with whatever else they do. Some Metabreaths would rock. | |

| I'm curious as well to see how they do the stats. Do I really have to wait until next year?
My guess is that ACs will be capped at around 35 or so, so that all the +19 - +21 hitters in Angelfire will have a chance to hit. My only other guess is that it will have some sort of crush attack it can use, so that smaller creatures can't completely surround it and stop it from moving.
I wonder if it will have something like the Balor's Commander 0 + Allmighty, to prevent most buffs. If its AC is that high, I think it might. | |
