I'm two weeks into DDM, and am browsing the forums to learn more about skirmishing. I've encountered these terms several times and am not fully sure what they mean.

Based (surrounded?)
Quad band
Snakeeyes band(I know it's a type of band but what's in it?)
Tier 1/2/3(Is a Tier 1 warband national tournament level, Tier 2 local tournament level, and Tier 3 friendly game level?)

I have three Chraals on the way and want to play with them, what are some other good choices for a Chraal band?

Thanks!

Based-Being in base-to-base contact with an opposing model.
Quad-Any of a number of variants of CE bands centered around four figures dealing out massive damage (Ogre Ravager, Orc Champion, Eye of Gruumsh, etc.).
Snakeeyes-A Couatl led band built by doubtofbuddha(?). I believe it relies on Justice Archons primarily.
Tier-A way of noting the different levels of play. Tier I is considered to be the top of the heap, and worthy of play in national competition. Tier II bands are usually less refined and able to make an impact in local events. It is possible for TII bands to beat TI bands, but those are typically "spoiler" rounds. Tiers III and lower are usually reserved for friendly games--they are sometimes considered "for fun" warbands.
