| Rakshasa - Followers benefit from the Commander Effects of every enemy commander this creature can see.
No follower is benefitting directly from the Balor, so the kitty can't steal the CFX. Likewise with Mordie's CFX.

| Rakshasa doesnt steal the CE.. it extends the enemy's CE to its followers.
And, as mentioned, since Balor's CE doesnt effect his followers, your warband would get the same effect (none). But yeah, I would confirm this with a [Guy] post overon Wizards.com | | Minis... Serious Business Completed Trades (18 ) | Pending Trades (0) Ebay seller to Avoid –Fantasy_Quest_Dist

| Yep, you've been playing it wrong. The Rakshasa only steals commander effects (or parts of commander effects) that benefit his followers. CEs that cause harm to the enemy or have some other effect that isn't a direct affect to a commander's own followers can't be stolen. Off the top of my head, that includes the folling commander's commander effects - Mordenkainen, Balor, Cleric of Garl Glittergold, Lich Necromancer, Vampire Aristocrat, and Mind Flayer.
Lareth the Beautiful is kind of a strange one. You can steal the commander effect insofar as it will affect your own followers but not enemies within 6. Also, your followers are affected by both the beneficial and negative sides of the commander effect. Taking 5 damage when you roll a 1 on an attack might not seem like a "benefit", but it's part of the commander effect that can affect your followers.
The funky thing about a Balor meeting a Rakshasa is that, if the Rakshasa becomes enslaved, now he steals commander effects for the CE team from any remaining commanders in the LE band. | | "Before God we are all equally wise - and equally foolish." - Albert Einstein Champion of Myopic Half-Orcs Winner, WBC X | |
