I find myself yearning to combine the Nentyars with either the Ghaele or Copper Samurai (and of course a bunch of archers). Fighting the urge.

Copper Samurai is a commander and thus does not get the free attack from the Nentyar.

Correct. So is the Ghaele. Their reason for inclusion would be to provide yet another mechanism for volley fire. Roll a 20 ... take another shot (or another activation if it's the Ghaele)

I'd at least sub out the graycloak for an Undying Soldier. Cheap screener against pesky beholders.

The Hellspike map may make you want to reconsider putting all your eggs in the ranged attack basket. But I think replacing the HEBI's with something else (Centaur Hero?) should solve that problem.
