| The Medusa is very easy to counter with almost any decent melee band. Even if you can keep her safely tucked behind other pieces, she's rarely worth her 62 points.

| No offense, but this is a poor band. You are relying very heavily on failed saving throws on your opponents part, and any construct or undead are just going to ignore the medusa and pound the stuffing out of everything else. Unfortunately, the medusa has not aged at all well, with a hideously low hit point to cost ratio, she morale checks after taking only 20 damage, and dies 15 points afterwards. There are a number of creatures who can afford to just walk (or fly) past your blockers and whack her in melee without having to make any save at all. Even if she passes her first morale, the only need to pass one gaze attack and she will be dead. Even if you get your ideal situation set up, with the medus behind your trog captain, undead and hexblade, none of these blockers have the hit points to last very long. At best, you'll get two, perhaps three gaze attacks off. In all likelyhood, two of these might work. If they do, you've got a decent chance to win. If they don't, you're toast. In particular, any ranged band with decent blockers will just take this right apart, with little chance that the medusa will have any effect at all, since her gaze has a range of 6.
I admire the fact that you are trying for something original, but unfortunately the medusa ia a dead end.

| All they need is a figure with blindsight, cant be effected by gaze attacks.
And with that list of figures if any of them loose to a medusa they either had very poor warbands or didnt know what they where doing.

Nothing screams "Helmed Horror" quite like this band.[:D]

Ok, this is possible. Unlikely, but possible...

... but this, unfortunately, cannot be true. The petrifying gaze attack of the medusa can only affect living creatures. Undead are obviously not living creatures. So are Constructs. So it will only really take a single Marut or a Helmed Horror to screw your band.
Still, your challenge is a shrewd way of attracting skirmishers to your store. [)]

Let me guess. Doubtofbudda does not play there. Otherwise you would recieve a schooling. | | They just don't know what's good in life...Conan, tell them what is good in life. To rip the boosters. To count the minis spilled out before you, and to hear the indifference of the women...

| Archmage would eat it up as well. At the very least, you'd need to include some more aggrssive hitter types to provide a real threat to a band that is going to hang back and plink at you.
