| What do you think about mixing factions?
In my country many people like to mix factions (not only on sealed limited tornaments) making strange but useful mixes, even we have a format called good agains evil and law against caos, where you could mix Lawful Good with Caotic Good, and so on? What do you think about this way of playing? | | Knight of the Quori Champion of King Kaius III of Karrnath

| | It can be a real fun way to play with friends and such. My friends and I do it sometimes for "theme" bands. However in a more competative setting like tournaments it could get a little out of hand. | | Asystole is a stable heart rhythm | |

| This is a nice way for play but brings lots of nasty combos, is used because everybody is begining and there is not much minis available for us, but i rather to play for factions because they are made to work together and they are balanced in that way.
I love to do LE/CE Warbands! but they tend to be nasty for the level of play we are now. | | Knight of the Quori Champion of King Kaius III of Karrnath

| | With small collections I highly recommend it. In fact until you have more than 80 or so figures, I would ignore factions completely. Keep playing that way until someone builds something REALLY nasty, then its time to move on to single faction only. Until then go nuts though! | | Looking for someone to cosponser a midwest DDM event. let me know if your interested! Check out my brand new blog: http://bshugg.blogspot.com | |

| | I totally agree with Brad. Small collection? Use what ya got. Otherwise, save it for fun tournament formats. | | [http://www.hordelings.com/frontend/profiles/profile.php?user_id=22] | |

I have played along the align lines before. I was fun. I do like the sealed and limited events as I like mixing the factions around. I am hopeing to geting a League event set up for when Wardrums comes out locally that will last 1 months or so. | | First peon to make it to "Knight Warlord" Completed Trades -148-

| | We do the good vs. evil thing or law vs. chaos its fun but can get out of hand with nasty combos. Also we do what we call tribal wars where we each pick a race or maybe a class and any factions are legal as longas their the same race or class. | | Champion of Flint Fireforge Knight of The DarkMantle KoK: The Easily Swayed "I use to have a working probelm, until it got in the way of my gaming." | |

| It might be fun in 100-point play. I haven't really considered this for 100-point play before--time to go look through my minis.

Yeah surprisingly no one ever picks the gnomes. I useally Pick dwarves, my bro picks elves and one guy has a thing for bugbears, esp. footpads. Dont ask.

| I got to do this way back when (over a year ago, now). It was a tremendous amount of fun. Of course, this was before Aberrations, so the combos weren't quite as sick; but, we did have some "nail-biter" games.
Defintely good for small collections. Excellent for an alternative game day for a change of pace. | | Trade & talk in real time on IRC! SERVER: irc.psionics.net CHANNEL: #maxminis SOFTWARE: PC | PC (free) | MAC

Could be fun but might get out of hand when everyone has more figs. I do really like that tribal theme version tho. | | Champion of Bruenor Battlehammer
