| Had a tourney two weekends back and there was a kind of heated discussion.
When a mini (grim necro) summons in minions and they are eliminated do they count for points?
If a commander or another mini (snig) brings in minions and they are eliminated do they count for points?
The book if i remember correctly states that they dont but i remember hearing somewhere that this was changed due to the fact of people summoning a ton of mini's and not having to pay a price when they died off.

| Minions and summons count for victory points.
This was changed long ago to keep cheesey summoning bands from winning easy matches.
With summons, if you eliminate teh summoner, you get points for the summoner and also all the creatures he summoned still on teh board that then go away. | |

IIRC, it was changed in the Deathknell rules addendum.

| It first appeared in the insert that come in each Deathknell booster.
I just checked and was surprised to see that the online rulebook does indeed say that summons score no victory points. | |

Very strange that they yet have not updated the online rulebook with this ruling...hopefully they will remember to do so in the WD rulebook... | |

For some reason they are very slow at posting changes. example is that Draws score you 0 points now. WocT made an anouncement stating they would give notice in advance of this. That has never happend (official notice posted), but the rule was still changed. | |

It should be noted that minions and summoned creatures are not the same, technically speaking. Minions are not automatically eliminated if the commander is killed, whereas the summoned creatures die with the commander. | |
