I know this feeling first hand. The no. 1 ranked player in Vancouver had NEVER beaten me (around 6-8 league games, and 2-3 friendlies beforehand) until the Lakewood, WA qualifier last June. He actually won the whole thing (thus his number 1 ranking around here). I don't feel too bad though, he played well and deserved to win.
What about when you beat someone all the time in practice games, tourneys and Qualifiers, but always lose to them in top 8 single elim Championships? [:P]
Um, yeah. Hypothetically, of course. (Ok, so "beat all the time in practice" is a huge stretch).
Besides, hypothetically, that wouldn't be so sucky as all that - not once you have time to look at the positive of even making it that far.

| first Ive to speak on bad dice. I own the cursed hand of dice and I deal with it by trying not to have to roll above a two on any giving roll. Then its a 50-50 chance.
I think here at the boards we see a great refinement in the game and tactics used, and that is a help for all of us who participate.
and Buddha give me a shout next time you want a different scene I owe you a rematch and can probaly schedule with tibour to at least get a day in were we can play. | |
