The one real big question that I had from the new stats related to the Elemental Wall, when it is a wall. Guy has addressed this on the Wizards boards. I thought that I'd bring it over here for folks who look here first. Later in the thread he clarifies that it also doesn't take damage from area effects.

Wall Transformation: While this creature space is a wall, neither line of sight nor line of effect can be traced to it. Similarly, this creature can't trace line of sight or line of effect to other creatures or squares. This creature can't attack or be attacked for any reason (including attacks of opportunity). It doesn't count as the nearest enemy, so it can't be targeted by ranged attacks, ranged spells, or ranged special abilities. Because this creature space is a wall, the distance to and from it is infinite; it is never close enough to be affected by abilities that have a range limit (including commander effects), and it doesn't count as adjacent to other creatures. As a result, this creature can't even be affected by abilities with a range of touch.
