Subject: Zap Whack 200 pt. CG band (gimmicky)

I've been wanting to do a psionics themed band for a while. The dromite wilder was intriguing to me. I figured that all it need to work well was a partner with telekinesis or slide, unfortunately there are no CGs with that power. Enter the Evermeet Wizard as a sub. The plan is to rush in the dromite and zap. When it gets based, and it will, the EW transposes in a big hitter to smash whatever based it.
The Warband

Dark Traveler
Dromite Wilder
Evermeet Wizard
1/2 Giant Psychic Warrior
1/2 Ogre Barbarian
Med. Astral Construct

I know that this plan could be much better executed with an IM and a FB, but they would be less thematic.
I went 3-0 with it tonight, only because in the first round my opponent was very new.

Game 1 Magma Keep.
I set up with the straight shot into the keep planning on bottling his warband up in the open area for my shot.
Round 1
I ran the Dromite out ahead while everyone else single moved up behind it and did some casting. The Astral Construct got into a victory area. I summoned a medium earth elemental.
On his turn his Nentyar hunter, Bariur Ranger and Wand Expert all shot at my dromite forcing a morale check (failed). Plan B

Round 2
I used my ogre to block him from getting into the room and maneuvered up to be able to attack his bottled up forces. Summoned a Magmin and a Dire rat. They died at the hands of a longstrider and a wild elf.

Round 3
Killed his wand expert with a Melf's arrow from the wizard. I charged his griffon with my 1/2 giant and was able to follow up with my elemental killing it. That was all we had time for.

Game 2
Opponent-Greenfang, Crow Shaman, Pegasus, Dire Wolf, Dire Bear, Owl Bear.
Mushroom cavern.
Round 1-I put my astral construct in the central victory area (side B) and got everyone else to the entrance there. Summoned the Earth Elemental, I decided that burrow was important.
Round 2-
Dire bear hits my 1/2 ogre. Owl bear and Pegasus attack my Elemental in the central area. I hit the bear several times with my 1/2 ogre and 1/2 giant. I move the wizard into position and transpose the dromite with the construct which is now in the center of a bubble of his creatures. Zap! Double damage. Dire bear routs, owl bear routs, crow shaman dies greenfang hurt, pegasus hurt.
Round 3-
Pegasus bases my dromite. I transpose it with the 1/2 giant and hit the peagasus. It routs.

Game 3-
Opponent- Alusair, 2x Iron Golems, Justice Archon
Map- Drow Outpost (Bad)
I knew I had to get something across the gap to be able to kill Alusair.
Round 1 he plods up. I dash my construct across and put my 1/2 ogre on the bridge.
Round 2 I summon the earth elemental on the other side of the pit.
Round 3 The elemental burrows behind Alusair and the 1/2 ogre who is about to get creamed hits a golem. Next activation I transposed the Dromite with the Elemental. Alusair gets Zapped for 40 but makes her morale save.
Round 4 Fizzle! I swapped the dromite with half giant who braves an AoO from the justice archon to base Alusair (I should have burrowed the Elemental first to flank her) and misses. They both hit it once leaving it with 5hp, but it makes its save. The golems kill the Astral construct and miss the 1/2 ogre.
Round 5 First activation, 1/2 giant hits Alusair Killing her. Ballgame.

Yeah I got lucky, but I learned a lot from playing it and had a lot of fun.

She was in an early build along with some xeph's and maybe another astral construct. They certainly went with the theme, as would the catfolk wilder, but they kind of sucked too much to keep in. I needed something else to hit with.
