| | Does the presence of the WF Scout serving as a first turn Assault point grabber allow you to be more comfortable playing slow LG creatures? | | | |

| It certainly helps! It may or may not prove to be one solution to the problem, but I would think it's kind of boring for EVERY LG warband to have a Warforged Scout in it.
I think they just need some way of increasing speed without grant move action. | | Champion of the Revenant Knight of the Elf Duskblade Complete Trades: Oni, Kidkach, Melrune, callidusx3

| I'd say so. The sad part is the Scout is SO GOOD at this role, that frankly, it's going to be auto-include in most LG bands...mine included, given the state of the rest of the faction. It's almost as good as a Celestial Dire Badger for a point less, insofar as pure fighting is concerned. The fact it is only slightly weaker in combat is more than made up for by the fact that it can park on a VA and just sit there for the entire match compensates for that quite well.
With that 20-30 point safety net, I don't mind being a little slower on the rest of my team. | | - Irrationally Fanatical Champion of Pegasus-mounted cavalry - Proud member of Team Low Tier Beasting: I play CG as my main faction! - Garland, TX 2006 Qualifier Champion My trading thread: http://www.maxminis.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=19725

| No. The Scout is subject to assassination, and if he's 21 squares away from his party, and his party is moving a maximum of 8 squares a round, his party can't come save him when he's getting shredded.

Dave
The scout is worth 8Vp's and 1-turns assault points is worth 10vps. waste as much effort assasinating them as you like.[:)] The LG warband will still be ahead on points. Now if the scout cost 11pts you would have a point.

| | Now LG has two must-have figures in your warband: Couatl and Warforged Scout. You don´t have to play them but they offer so much for their point cost that it´s hard to ignore them. Is this good or bad? The answer lies in the future when new figures with similar abilities are released. We may see a general speed booster (like the Mephling Pyromancer, but more cost efficent) for LG or a figure wtih Speed 10 for example. | | German championship 12.05.07 in Berlin --------------------------------------------------------------------- Want to play DDM in Berlin, Germany? http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/dndminisberlin/ | |

hmm... a tournament viable lawful good creature with spd 10... if only we had one of those, especailly if it brought some old lawful good piece from way back, say around GOL, maybe a commander.... [:p] but as for the real question, lawful goo dhaving must include minis speaks to the fact taht the faction is in trouble, LE and CE have some fairly amazing minis, but nothin (except maybe the wardrummer) tat is autoincluded in almost every warband of th factions. even pieces like the HH and the orc champ aren't uses unanimously, coatl and warforged scout are fantastic miniature, coat in particular in IMO the best or among the best miniatures in the game, but if lawful good had pieces of the dame power level as some of hte other factions ,then they would not be so ubiquitous.
