I'd like to hear from the people who played in the pre-release what turned out to be hard to kill. What was harder than you expected? What was more fragile than you expected? If it was hard to kill, but you managed it, how?

It was the Bonedevil when it first appear in Archfiends. I was running an Urthok band in 200 points play, and i couldn't pass the 25 AC. It had flying too. It was the reason that i lost the battle. In these days Bonedevil was a very hard figure to beat. But it wasn't on a pre-release anyway.

The wartroll was bad news. AC 24, DR5, 100 hp, regen 5

I was finally able to rout it by killing the commander, putting the wardrummer on -4 saves, and eventually bringing him to half.

In 7 rds I faced 5 HGBs and 2 Hextors.(in 2 of draft for top 8, one more HGB) They were all hard to kill, it wasn't as much that the HGBs were hard to kill, but the fact they were going to get their licks in.

The Wartroll is the monster to kill though. The AC added to the other stuff makes him very hard to kill.

Im out- find me on Hordelings if you want to chat.

I all but conceded when I met my first war troll in round 5. It wasn't even so much the war troll as the WF Captain who put the favored enemy (or whatever it was called) on my Ogre War Hulk (not the best draw). My hope for killing the war troll was the girallion with his rend+30 but the AC-24 is uber tough if your bonuses are low. The girallion is only +12/+12 for 10 magic. Need both to get the 50 damage total.

Aspect of Moridan was hard to kill, no wait, it killed me, I did not kill it.

Oh and Warduke is very easy to kill.

As for a fun piece that never died, it would be my little Warforged Scout. No one could seem to hit it.
