| There are a few statements that caught my eye n the "Heavy Artillery" scenario in the WoTC minis site, namely this:
The Arcane Ballista begins the battle stilled -- subject to a still construct spell.
Any damage will immediately awaken a stilled creature. Also, an adjacent
creature can awaken the Arcane Ballista by forfeiting its attack.
The still construct spell is similar to sleep except that it only affects Constructs
and renders them helpless. Constructs that are helpless because of the still
construct spell are not subject to the double damage normally dealt by melee
attacks (because Constructs are immune to critical hits). In all other aspects a
stilled construct is considered sleeping.
Do you think any upcoming figs will have this spell for the skirmish game? This could be a good approach to lessen the frequency of construct bands such HH bands, or Marut bands (although the latter has SR).
It was always discussed that WoTC would likely introduce different concepts to the skirmish game to assure an ever-changing, and therefore, healthy meta. Could this be one of those approaches/concepts? What do you guys think?
EDIT: I know this doesn't necessarily mean that construct bands would be rendered useless with this, but at least one could now take advantage of some effects that a construct would normally be immune to if this is introduced. Much like the way some discussed over the boards if there is a way to make constructs make "morale" saves... This could be one of those changes that, even though it wouldn't be game-breaking, could be interesting. | |
