Tomorrow I will be playing the following epic warband in a tournament here locally

Epic Elminster
Rikka
Wizard Tactician
Mephling Pyromancer
Wand Expert
Archmage
Xeph Warrior

My question is which of the epic maps would work the best for this warband. I presently only have Field of Ruin and Teleport Temple available but if one map really shines I would consider getting the map pack.

As far as what I expect to see, one of our players has guaranteed an Epic Mounted Paladin, and there is usually a significant Marut and Aspect/Warpriest of Moradin contingent to deal with.

There are some great lines of sight on Queen P's tomb.
Kings road might be intresting, too I'm pretty sure you can get line of sight between two of the start areas.
Drop 3 fireballs if you win init in the first round... that would not be so happy for them.

It would be very unlikely for unlikely events not to occur.

I highly recommend you buy the field of ruins map set. Your band seems to be about ranged and mobility. That being said, I recommend the Kings Road map. All your casters will be able to cast when based and benefit from the extra AC in the forest. Rikka is mean with the ability to hop in and out of forest squares.

As soon as I saw the archmage in your band, let alone El, I thought King's Road immediately... the map really plays to the strengths of your band and can get you lines of sight for first turn fireball goodness

King's Road is starting to become very popular. A lot of ppl now are testing bands out on it and trying to figure out how they'll deal with what it brings. Its obviously one of the better maps for your band, so it would definetely help to get it and try it out like everyone else has been saying.
