| | Before I elaborate, I must admit that I don't know if this goes here or in the general section. I'm pretty much asking what are the most expected density of minis(known so far) to be pulled in the WotDQ pre-release tournament? Obviously, half the attendees aren't going to be pulling the Aspect of Tiamat coupled by a Sorcerer on a Huge Black Dragon or anything like that but what are everyone's expecting what will come out most/least/50-50 of the time and the like. Also, out of the known minis and reasonable guesses for unknown costs of the known minis, what are expected to make a decent Sealed warband? Again, this last part must be realistic. I wouldn't have a clue and just for good measure, can anyone remind us of the cost of the Aspect of Tiamat? It was on the MaxMinis boards a fairly long time ago but none of us want to pick and tear through all of the old threads. Thank you for your time. | | Champion of the Prismatic Golem

| I would like to pull Blue Barney. No seriously, I would want to pull it. Stop Looking at me like that!
I won't be playing in our Pre-release though as I will be running it. I'll still get some boosters though [)] | | Champion of Tavern Stripper Knight of Knights Squire of Death Giants Somethin-or-another of Big Arse Swords

| Well as far as what the density of pulled mini's will be - if you're asking what I think you're asking (which is what can one reasonably expect in terms of skirmish warband from two sealed boosters of WotDQ), then I think the answer will be much easier &/or accurate once we have the full set list, stat spoilers and the slotting distribution. Once this info is in place on the boards, it makes warbuilding building from sealed much easier and more streamlined.
Also going to a pre-release, duplicate rare pairs are not an altogether uncommon site, because many boosters may be pulled ahead of the event and not neccessarily from the same case. I know of several instances that this happened at the Wardrums release event (both the event I attended and dual rares reported from several other events).
As far as the pts on Tiamat, sorry I don't remember and I'm currently too lazy to dig for it when WotDQ pre-release is only about a month away (usually also means stat spoilers about 3 weeks away).

Yup, I got the last / first booster of different cases and ended up with useless dual Shuluth. Our tournament winner had a dual Khumat band. You basically expect a couple of rares and bunches of other stuff.

| At our pre-releases that I judge, I hand out the boxes and so it's not usually a problem making sure everyone gets 2 boosters from 1 case in order to cut down on the chance of duplicate rares. I think most people who go to a pre-release don't want to get duplicate rares...specially if they aren't good. ;) Still happens some of course.
Since Angelfire or so Uncommons have generally had very strong skirmish stats. If anyone pulls 2 strong uncommons, they generally use that over one of the rares. (2x HGB for example) With 500 pts to build a warband with, I expect point wise that most people will be using 1 of the 3 huge minis that they get.

| | I hope it (the wotdq prerelease) doesn't degenerate into "who pulled the better Huge". I suspect if one were to go back and try GOL sealed at 500 points, that IS what it would come down to. | | "Why am I all sticky and naked? | | I think a number of things will help alleviate that. For one it appears that a bunch of the uncommon huges (including the reviled Blue Drawgonspawn Godslayer) are going to be at least reasonably competitive. In addition with 4 epic miniatures in the set, there is a reasonable chance to get a good 500 point pull without pulling any of the "good" huges. | | I am not gone. | |

| I have no clue what I'll pull. Perhaps Blue Barney and a Mountain Troll or the Tundra Scout. Then I won't even need my Huge Spider to rip apart my opponents.

| | Great feedback. I would have normally thought before this, just off the top of my head, that most people would get Mountain Trolls, Huge Fire Elementals, and Bluespawn Godslayers. | | Champion of the Prismatic Golem

| | I'm hoping that the skirmish stats on the Huge Fiendish Spider aren't that bad, because I worry about going up against something like Sirohk's dual HGB again... would be good to have some choice, though, knowing my luck, I'll wind up pulling another HFS and won't know what to do with myself... | | Champion of Tanis Half-Elven | |
