Therefore, WotDQ is quite specifically a 200 pt Limited set.
- Dagni [/quote]Not a complete assessment Dagni. A TO can sanction a tournament using 2 Sealed boosters of WOTDQ running 500-point assault. It qualifies as an Epic tournament under version 1.4.1 of the DCI DDM floor rules.

It's in the description in the Gen Con events catalog.
Edit: And the title of the event is "D&D Miniatures 200-point Limited - Convention League".
Hm, I wonder if that means it won't be possible to win the Huge figures, since you can't use them in your warband. That would certainly make me reconsider whether I want to play in the league. | | Champion of Gnomes

Yeah, I wonder about that. Hopefully, they'll be included, as they'll be cracking open boosters, and I'm not sure what they'd do with the huges otherwise.

How did the Star Wars Huges work? do they fit in 200? or is it 500? They ran league with those at WF and gave them on the rolls. | | Im out- find me on Hordelings if you want to chat.

| We had a pretty good variety in the top 4 at our venue (Stillwater, OK) We had 26 players and the top 4 were
1. Pack Lord/Godslayer 2. Dracolich/Spider 3. Aspect of Bahamut 4. Epic nightmare and not sure what else.
The Dracolich player had a masterful game against the AoBahamut in the semi-final round. They played 9 rounds and he got assault points on all 9. He killed all of the opposing figures except Bahamut and won despite losing his Dracolich.
It might have turned out differently if the player with the Aspecot of Tiamat hadn't mis-added and ended up with an illegal warband.

| The Milwaukee prerelease would seem to further corroborate the idea that you need one of the top 4 pieces to win. We had about 17 people (I think) and the top 4 looked like this:
1. Tordek(epic), Purple Worm, Cleric of Syreth (4-0) 2. Bahamut, Fang Dragon, Slaughterstone(non-epic) (3-1 w/ a bye) 3. Bahamut, Tordek(non-epic), War Weaver (3-1) 4. Slaughterstone(Epic), Dracolich, Cleric of Syreth. (3-1)
There were no Tiamats pulled.
Mine was the 4th place band. I didn't want to run the Dracolich, but my other huge pull was a Huge Fire Elemental, and my other rare was a Magma Hurler. This left me with the choice of
1. Run the SSE, Dracolich, Cleric of Syreth, Diseased Rat, Tavern Brawler. 2. Run the SSE, Spider, and Huge Fire with no commander or a commander-0. 3. Run the SSE, Spider, Cleric of Syreth, and only get to around 450 points.
I can attribute it partially to luck in the pairings, but I found the Dracolich proved much more useful than I expected. In the first and third matches I fought bands where the big guys were susceptable to paralysis (Round 1 was Purple worm/epic Blackguard, Round 3 was Purple Worm/Displacer Beast). Those matches were won fairly easily due largely to failed paralysis saves. In the 4th round, his breath weapon proved to be key as I managed to breath on and rout the oponent's Cleric of Syreth off the board in round 2 before he had cast his legion's shield of faith. The only match where he was a liability was round 2, where I lost to the 2nd place Bahamut band, and that one was going to be pretty tough to win anyway (Especially when my SSE missed all 4 attacks on his first full attack on Bahamut).
Still, for significantly less cost, the epic SSE was definitely my best pull, as he proved almost as useful as the dracolich in rounds 1 and 3, and better in rounds 2 and 4 where I faced paralysis immune things.
