Tordek seems nice, so this might be a very fun band to play.

Not too sure about this one. Sure you have some very, very hard-to-kill Sacred Watchers, but since you can hardly afford to risk the Sword Archon or the cleric you are left with the Watchers as damage dealers AND blockers. I like watchers, but 3 of them just don't cut it as damage dealers. The Sword Archon is fairly squishy for his points, so he will have to hang back a bit until he can swoop in and deal the finishing blows. Three watchers won't cut it as both blockers and beaters when you really need to get them into flanking positions to maximize their potential.
Even with 15 points of damage from your watchers many beaters can chose to live with an attack of opportunity and just walk around your sacred watchers. Perhaps Drow Outpost might be a good option for this band. Since you can use the bridge to set up two watchers as blockers and then use the last to swoop into flanking position.
All in all I don't see this band working. You have to commit the Sword Archon in order to actually deal some damage, and you have too few watchers to serve as both blockers and beaters. Losing the sword archon will most likely lose you the game.

The definitive titan band and map. Only problem is that its been done to death. I have a buddy who pretty much plays a Death Slaad band just to counter this setup. This band is definitely more for winning than for fun.

I love monks. But not really on kings road. Having cover makes the monks amazingly difficult to hit, but also makes it hard for them to hit. Whenever you play monks you get to the point of "now what?" when you have used all of you unavoidable strikes. Against an opponent who also has cover it can be very difficult to make you monks actually hit anything.
So, to answer your question, I would probably run the Tordek band, not so much because it is any better than the others, but its a new take on what can be a very static faction.

| I would play the Tordek band, and the reason I would play it is because of the bands you've listed, it has the most interesting new pieces to try out.

| I would go with the Tordek band as well, because it's similar to what I'm used to playing; combined arms teams that mix melee with a little ranged potential. Though I am concerned about the lack of any real blockers for the ballista, everything else in the band looks fine. A good commander, a good ranged unit, plus Tordek on the front line with Aramil reducing the damage he takes; it should work fine.
On a side note, I have to say that your recent interest in Wemic Barbarians has spilled over to me, Janos. The more I try them, the more I like them. | | - Irrationally Fanatical Champion of Pegasus-mounted cavalry - Proud member of Team Low Tier Beasting: I play CG as my main faction! - Garland, TX 2006 Qualifier Champion My trading thread: http://www.maxminis.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=19725 | |

| Here are my comments on the Bands I posted: Tordek, Dwarf Champion 59 Arcane Ballista 48 WarWeaver 33 Cleric of Order 24 Eberk, Adventurer 16 Aramil, Adventurer 13 Jozan, Cleric of Pelor 4 Man at Arms 3 Keep of Fallen Kings 1
CoO cast’s Shield of Faith and Major resistance on Tordek. Use the Ballista as often as possible in the engagement round to reduce the activations of your enemy. But first try to kill the 5-10 HP fodder with Eberk's hammer and Aramil's MM (but keep one or two slots for RoE). With the hopefully activation advantage the Ballista wouldn’t be based so much. Tordek is a beast…
Sword Archon 82 Cleric of Syreth 47 Sacred Watcher 18 Sacred Watcher 18 Sacred Watcher 18 Warforged Scout 8 Timber Wolf 5 Aasimar Fighter 4 Mushroom Cavern
I played two people on VASSAL with SwordSwarm and both know how to play. The Watchers can easily block ways the enemy could use, while the Sword Archon engages late to use the Watchers as a shield. The Cleric cast’s MW on one of the Watchers and in the second round legion’s shield of faith.

Young Master 44 Githzerai Monk 34 Githzerai Monk 34 Githzerai Monk 34 Githzerai Monk 34 Eberk, Adventurer 16 Aasimar Fighter 4 King's Road
I think the King’s Road is the Map for the Monks, because they kill more then they will likely loose. It’s another try of point denial. The only figures that could hurt the Monks regularly (like Marut) will be killed fast.
I think for fun the SwordSwarm is my favourite. It’s really hard to play and you have to keep all possibilities in your mind, because you have no room for mistakes. But seeing your opponent fail either hitting you or making the incorporeal check is worth it.
If you want to go on a tourney I would choose the last. But with the low commander there will be good changes for my opponent getting his map.
Another question does the Tordekband be as competitive as the Marutband?
@ Pegasus Knight: I played the Wemic two times and after that I got addicted. They are strong but you need to play them right.

| | I still have some love for GAS but the Todek bands looks like it would be different enough, ( For a week until everybody is running variations of it ) to be fun. | | Unto Death We Strive,
