| the witchknife for 33 points can stun any creature type and silence all non psi spells which i think is pretty powerful
but before i consider this top of the line im wondering how stun all creatures of this type works for witchknife greater command.
it allows you to choose a type of creasure to make them all save vs stun dc 18.
now some creatures have type: humanoid - human or humanoid- elf
can you use the stun to do all humanoids including humans elves d0rfs anything type humanoid? or can you stun by the subtype humanoid - elfs, only elfs are stunned?
then the question is since it effects everyone, who rolls the DCs first? you or opponent? | | trade refs:http://www.maxminis.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=23164

| Of course you could just go to Guy's site and read all about it. [)]

| For more details on selecting creature types for the Witchknife's stun, take a look at the clarification on Guy's Clarification page.
You can be a specific as you want by choosing a subtype, or you could choose one of the more general types.
In regards to the order of saving, the creatures in the Witchknife's warband must roll their saves first, since it is the active creature. This info is in the glossary entry for Simultaneous Effects.

| | Just a wierd little note: Universally hated can actually hurt your opponant, since as worded (...heal 5 hp) it would count as a heal effect and damage undead. as far as I can tell. | | Call me: W.N. Gobo! originally posted by grim: While he is clearly insane, he does have a point. | |

| | I thought universally hated only affected living creatures. I'll have to look at the card again, but I didn't think it affected undead. | | | |

| ya it says living enemies for the heal
i used it earlier on vassal, used wardrummer for plus 4 saves and it ended up only stunning wardrummer lol
my opponent only had one person fail too but he had some high rolls | | trade refs:http://www.maxminis.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=23164

| It certainly looks good. Stunning a critical piece in your opponents warband and shutting down spells at a certain range sure is tempting. This guy can wreak havoc against a Couatl/Titan/Bodyguard build, especially if the stun works. However, I'm not sure if its worth 33 points. After its used the Stun its pretty weak. And since you have to bring it close to the opponent to get the spell silencing to work theres a good chance something will squish the poor bastard.
But I do think it has a place in epic games, 33 points isnt much there. | | Champion of the Sarrukh

| | In CE it's the Wardrummer paradox ... 33 + 19 is a lot to sink into things that don't kill stuff. Maybe there is an LE build it could shine in ... Something with a high enough init that you's have a decent shot of winning init on the engagement round and pounding with 3 or so LE thumpers (DC's, HH's, ZakRaks) ... | | Champion of Zarak - Evil Half-Orc Assassin | |
