| | Well I have been gone from the forum and the game for awhile because of school and stuff like that and so I've fallen behind. I missed out on Wardrums and I want to get caught up. So what are the pieces from Wardrums and the new set are good and competitive? | | | |

| | I do not think eldritch is a true tier 1 mini, but I have seen eldritch warbands crushing others "more powerful" in only two turns.Door dimension with this hulk can be a fearsome ability. And about the greenspawn,it,s my fault...I want to say green dragon.Excuse me. | | LOVE THIS GIRL | |

| The greenspawn could be tier 1 with the right support.

| Not sure the greenspawn is teir one yet because of all the constructs and the dreaded swarm band. he's decent, but the real seller is the keen crit+vicious attack, and that just doesn't work against sacred watchers, marut, or helmed horrors. it is sad though, i'd love to see him played more.
i think al the good peices have been named though, to get back on topic. did anybody mention the wizened elder watcher? ;)

| WotDQ: Best pieces in my opinion: 1st: War weaver 2nd: Tordek 3rd: Firebilcher 4th: Aspect of Bahamut 5th: Slaughterstone eviscerator
It is a pitty that there is still no good CG hitter in the cost range of 35-45...

| | The biggest drawback for the green spawn is no magic weapon, otherwise it would do more damage and a higher attack then the LGD, meaning you could botha green spawn and LGD in the same warband | | | |

Wardrums was my favorite set because it contained no ultra broken minis. Sadly no one shares this belief.

I think the Greenspawn is a great Limited pull, as it's one of the few (perhaps the only) Spawn who grants immunity to an energy type it doesn't use itself. Without yet knowing what the Limited Championship Qualifying environment is going to be, I think you've got to at least consider it for that reason alone.
Its value in Constructed remains to be seen, though any figure that relies on critical hits is going to have problems in a meta that's heavy on Elementals and Constructs.
The Eldritch Giant becomes much more playable when paired with the Blackguard on Nightmare (as does the Steel Predator, IMO); other than that combo, I agree that the Eldritch Giant's Arrogant ability makes him unreliable in most fights, especially if you expect to see figures with Aura of Fear. (And he's probably not that good even with the Blackguard against a fig like Bahamut or Tiamat.)
