Seeing the preview for the Kobold monk has got me thinking about mobs. So far LE and CE are the only ones getting mob which fits their theme.
However what if in the next new starter set they changed mob 3 or mob 2 so that you could mix mobs? Like 2 stirges and 1 whitespawn hoardling could count as 1 activation.
Is anyone playing mobs now anyways? Well don't answer until after gencon. But right now I kind of doubt it.
What suggestions would you make to improve mobs? Lower point cost of mob creatures? Raise mob numbers?
In CE the mobs could work as tile grabbers.
3 stirges are 27 points for a total of 15 hp, and at best, +14/+14/+14 for 15 dmg.
3 whitespawn hordelings are 27 points for a total of 45 hp, +2/+2/+2/+2/+2/+2 for 5 dmg, six breath weak breath weapons.
In LE
3 Kobold Zombies are 12 points, for 45 hp (each is fearless) slow attacking, +1/+1/+1 for 5 dmg
2 Karnathi Zombies are 22 points, 40 hp (each is fearless), +5/+5 for 5 dmg.

personally i dont care much for the idea of being able to mob different types of creatures together. i dont think whitespawn hordelings have anything more in common with stirges than they do with Zombies, silly combinations could appear and some might actually lead to useful combinations. you could combine immunities in a way that you would always have a cheap way to combat elemental damage.

I completely disagree with the idea of being able to combine mobs. The whole point of the mob ability is that 'X' particular creature tends to travel in groups. By allowing min-n-match, you've eliminated that idea... so why should the mob ability apply?
