| We all know LE can makes triple and quad hitter bands, they have been doing it forever. They alsdo have some good titan pieces that go to waste because there is no pieces( that I have found) to support the titan.
eg:Â
LG  Titan: tordek/murat Support: war weaver and couatl for snake swiftness, Mephling Pyromacer for flying, Healer/combat medic for healing
CG
Titan: Kord Support: Crow Shaman for snake swiftness, Mephling pyromancer for flying, Wand expert/Spell scale sorcerer for blur.
CE
Titan: Hezrou Support: Orc Wardrummer for +save, Orc Druid for snakes swiftness
Maybe you guys can shed some light on how to make a titan list in LE. | | Champion of the Brainstealer Dragon Desert of Desolation Called Shot: Medium Brown Dragon ***Winner of WBC VIII and XII***

| Currently, LE does not have a great titan that it can field that can be competative against the whole meta. LE is much more competitive with its many and varied hitters that it can field in various combos. Plus, LE has some really great commanders that add to the variety of warbands that LE can put together.Â
Aspect of Hextor is ok and fun at 200 pts, and not too bad in Epic 500 pt play.Â
But to answer you question, LE does not currently have the support pieces to support its / a titan. Its close, but not quite there yet.Â

This is exacally what I was thinking. So i guess the real question is why doesn't LE have snake swiftness? everyone else does?

| I'd like to say something, but with Blood War right around the corner, my views may change. Right now, I'd say that of all the factions, LE is least likely to be able to adequately support a titan, but, I don't think it's the case that LE cannot do so.

| | Depends on whether Lord of Blades has warband building, I think. If he can bring in a Warforged Bodyguard, suddenly LE could support a titan. Whether that titan is the LoB, himself, or something else that fits in the band, I don't think we know, yet. | | "Before God we are all equally wise - and equally foolish." - Albert Einstein Champion of Myopic Half-Orcs Winner, WBC X | |

| LE is meant to support its titans with debuffers such as the Hexblade. Unfortunately, most of their debuffs are ineffective or overcosted.
Epic Soth with Beholder support is right scary, but that's a rare exception.

Agreed. I've played CC a few times and its one of the better titans LE has access to. The thing that makes it playable is the second attack i allready has, doesent need a caster with SS to help. | | Champion of the Sarrukh

Bingo, I've actually used the goblin adapt and they are not terrible (10pts?), but don't expect more than what is printed on the card.

| There is one area where LE does offer good support is in improving a creature's ATTACK. A large number of commanders can improve a low attack even if some are situational, magic weapon is available at a moderate cost, and flanking can be set up without flanking along with an increased bonus. Two other areas LE does fairly well are morale (due to good command rating and tyrannic morale) and fielding 8 plus activations but other factions can match those. If using an Undead titan LE can also do a good job of "healing" it with repeatable negative energy.
LE may be the master of the de-buff but still lacks any coutersong ability to stop command effects. The second basic problem with debuffs is that they typically go on one of your opponents creatures which means they may or may not help. Additionally, hitting only a single figure still leaves your titan vulnerable to unnerfed opponents. Getting extra attacks also requires your opponent to fail saves and in many cases the more you need the extra attack the less likely you are to get it.
If LE could get some of LG's armor buffs and finally get s'swiftness then it may have a chance. The Corpse Collector may currently be the best LE titan due to its double attack but it still doesn't last long. I think that if LE had some of the titan support LG has then we'd see more LE titans. I for one think place a War Troll in for the Marut (not possible, I know) in many LG builds would still remain an effective warband.

| Lets just list the "titan" pieces available to LE and then work from the complete list Soth Beholder (in a fashion) War Troll Fire Giant Aspect of Bane Cadaver Collector Steel Predator Barbed Devil (HAHAHHAHHAA!!) Thraskor Aspect of Nerull Some of these are awful pieces for Skirmish.. but they are the big sticks in the LE stables. One of the issues with LE is that they have higher to hits with lower damage & multiple attacks. I think the 2 best pieces in the price range are the CC and Artemis (im becoming a fan but havent run him yet).. but i REALLY want to get Aspect of Bane to work in Epic. | | Minis... | The CC and War Troll are the only reasonably costed choices in the list in my eyes so far. That's what makes the game exciting. What combos are we missing that can make these other pieces viable? What new piece is on the horrizon that will take a piece from almost good (like the Steel Predator) to contender?

| | Lord of Blades, Warforged Bodyguard, War Troll would be total sweetness (assuming LoB has the warbanding building to make it work). Let the War Troll take the first hit. Then, while he's regenerating, the bodyguard takes the hits. And, repeat (especially if you find a way to heal the bodybuard). | | "Before God we are all equally wise - and equally foolish." - Albert Einstein Champion of Myopic Half-Orcs Winner, WBC X | |

| I think you're right, the bodyguard is a better fit with a cheaper titan. Unless the Lord of Blades is a significant threat on his own, I'm not entirely sure that a bodyguard is a better investment than the extra hitter you give up by running it (exaple, helmed horror in the mind flayer/CC band.)
Remains to be seen what his commander effect is, of course, that could change a lot of the conventional wisdom. Warband building for warforged seems almost entirely guaranteed, but who knows what the CE is? If it turns out to be 'warforged gain fearless' it won't really matter what he can do with the cadaver collector, we'll all be running multi-warforged barbarians. | | Anson on WotC boards

| Well I am glad people are running with the idea but I am still not sure that Lord of blades is the answer. Thats is just bringing over WFBG and having 3 activations is not really going to put it in tier 1. Seems like Human blackguard and goblin adept could be included for the +morale save and cure moderate wounds. if Lord of Blades is Constructs are legal in your warband then maybe bring over the murat but what does LE have that LG doesn't. So still might not be worth it. | | Champion of the Brainstealer Dragon Desert of Desolation Called Shot: Medium Brown Dragon ***Winner of WBC VIII and XII*** | |

| | The thaskor would be a huge titan if LE ever got SS. It never misses and has great ac with a ton of hp. The wartroll is also a big hitter. I think one of the figures that could benefit from a bodyguard would be a deathknight. A Marut in LE would exceptional, it has a negative area effect which would heal all of your undead, and the Kolyarut could then touch heal u'r undead troops as well, but I have a feeling it will be Living Constructs or Warforged only. | | Greyhaze's DDM Spoilers Champion of a Medium Dog & then a Darkenbeast , Raistlin Majere, Nightmare WDQ25/60, Warduke WD60/60, Anti-Champion of Guns, "Knight of Bugbears", and Joke Champion of Venger. I think it is about the safest assumption we can make with the new set. You can't have a Lord of Blades without warforged followers, and unless there are a bunch of LE warforged this set, he won't have any buddies if he doesn't have it. | | Anson on WotC boards | |
