| I know that a fair number of times I've made silly mistakes or weak choices in warband construction before, but felt inspiration strike again and even though I am extremely reluctant to play good-aligned warbands as my collection is even smaller than the evil side, perhaps general use tactics against the standardized, popular bands could be suggested in case my own contemplation of strategy on the spot draws a blank. I'm think of playing this on the Teleport Temple but am hesitant to do so what with all of the experienced players having access to a far better selection of minis and therefore, strategies as well. If I were playing against popular warbands (such as gas, swarm, etc.), what would I need to even the playing field using these specific figures? For all I know, I could be helpless but any help would be appreciated.

| | Sincerely... you would get kicked easily. The JA´s just can´t hit Gith Monks and have a pretty low save against stun. Vs Belchers, they don´t rely in melee/ranged damage, so your justice strike wouldn´t bother. Also, the werebear isn´t even tier2. You´ll be an hero if you play this band and manage a victory against any top tier bands :-) | | VINDICATED Champion of the Mounted Blackguard

| | Good to know. Will scrap for use as filler in any Epic bands I make, instead. | | Champion of the Prismatic Golem

| To play on the Teleport Temple band without a lot of experience on it, you need pieces that are fast and that do not rely upon commander effects to be effective. Or, you need a fearless band that can outlast your opponent (but in this case, you need pieces that can reliably hold victory areas).

| | hmm, going with what Vrecknidj said, maybe quad horror? Its not the strongest, but its fast, fearless, and doesn't care about commanders. Dual horror might be a good starting place if you want to do something with horrors but don't want to run 4 (or don't have 4). | | Call me: W.N. You indicate that you do not have many good-aligned minis (LG & CG), but that your collection is a little bit better on the evil side (LE & CE).Â
What specific minis do you have and maybe us folks here can help you put something competitive togehter? Give us a list or something that you would like to run and lets see what we can do to make it a little more effective, especially for playing on the Teleport Temple.Â
And by the way, The Half-Orc Paladin is an ok commander (albiet a little slow), but the JA's will get you just carved up.Â
Cheers.

| Alrighty, then. Perhaps the following band. With a different map choice, of course. Likely something with a lot of cover, obviously, due to the slow speed after realizing my other band's shortcomings. But I only have the WD starter maps, so not a heck of a lot of choice, there. Might buy a suggested map if I can get ahold of one from my OLGS, if they even have maps. If not, WD will have to do.
It might be worse. I seriously don't know.

I may not be very insightful to many things but yes, I do realize that another Sacred Watcher would probably be more helpful than the AGs but I don't have a second one. | | Champion of the Prismatic Golem

| second band is deffinitly better than the first. I would suggest something that supports the Marut better the were bear is a weak piece. Look for something better. Even a Justice Archon would better, could help the watcher harrass or ( not like it needs it ) provde the marut with a flank. Also helps against CE beaters. Upgrade the fodder units what set did you get into the game? As for map choice, i would suggest something tight and confining that provides very little opportunity for enemies to get around or past your marut, I find success with marut on Mithril mines " close quarters fighting " also riddled with sight blockers and walls that your sacred watcher would love to run through to get at soft targets behind their beaters, also if you go with the justice archon she can leap out from behind the marut to hit. Its hard to give accurate suggestions without knowing what you have | | | |

| Okay, the list of all my Lawful Good minis which are not being taken up by other warbands of mine so I can playtest (via All factions, and the like) is below:
Anvil of Thunder Warpriest of Moradin Dwarf Artificer x2 Hill Dwarf Warrior x2 Dwarf Raider x2 Dwarf Caver Skullclan Hunter Ulmo Lightbringer Arcanix Guard x3 Shieldwall Soldier Axe Soldier Soldier of Thrane Caravan Guard Warmage Combat Medic Village Priest Werebear x2 Sacred Watcher Half-Orc Paladin Rhek Celestial Dire Badger Celestial Black Bear Bronze Wyrmling Large Bronze Dragon x2 Warforged Wizard x2 Warforged Scout x2 Warforged Captain Protectar Aasimar Favored Soul Justice Archon x2 Marut
I would have like to use both of my LBDs but that is likely too expensive, what with there not being a heck of a lot of stable, if nothing else, options after that. | | Champion of the Prismatic Golem
