| Someone brought up the possibility of a worst 200pt constructed tourney
at my local game store, and I was tantalized by the crud that is in
CE.Â
if you go with the following rules...
1. no sumoners
2, no creatures with Requires (something)
3. no duplicate minis
there are some other rules with this format, but I couldn't find the old thread.
Feel the rath of this...
19 ochre jelly
19 carrion Crawler
22 Otyugh
26 Gibbering mouther
34 Wizened elder watcher
22 Ankheg
33 scorpion clan figher
24 orc seargent
A bunch really slow ineffectual Wandering monsters everywhere.Â
There are problems with this. Scoring too many tile points early on
could be an issue.  The scorpion clan fighter, Ankheg, and
orc seargent might be able to dish out too much damage. Hopefully
they are fragile enough to run after a couple hits. I dunno, Lg
seems like the penultimate crappy warband faction. Tons and tons
of silly priests with no hitpoints and lousy attack rolls.
I think the coolest thing about this warband is all the anacronyms and
nicknames you can make with it. The slow but sturdy O.J,Â
The cool, but wicked paralysis effect of the CC. Oty has a big
mouth, and GM has lotza mouths. WEW, I made my save. Beware
of that sneeky Angry Cockroach. SCF almost sounds like a
corporation or a video game, but I can't tell for sure. Don't for
get O.S.  Linux RULES!Â
I have a fairly good collection of retched filth going back to
harbinger, because friends are more then happy to trade away thier
hordes of crud for my newbie leftovers. Seems fair to me.Â
Anyway, I can't think of much from blood wars that would suck enough to
be in this warband, but I only have 4 boosters to speek of from that
set.
I've never played this format, but it sure sounds fun!

| | Yep, that's pretty bad, although it could be made worse, drop the ankheg, add one dire wolf. | | Call me: W.N. Gobo! originally posted by grim: While he is clearly insane, he does have a point. | |

| Arcane Ballista x4? Nothing requires anything, they just cant attack. (edit) Whoops, no duplicates.
Well, one ballista + any LG "beaters" before Angelfire should do the trick.

| I still think that a Human Cleric of Bane and a Medusa make for a particularly terrible way to start a 200-point, LE "worst" band.

| I ran something like this locally a month or two ago. Here was my version of the floor rules:
1. No duplicate minis.
2. Everything must be under command (so no Difficult creature unless something can command it)
3. If you bring summoners, you must bring creatures for it to summon, so there are not enough points left over to be able to summon anything more with a casting of the spell. EG, if you have a summoner who can summon 10 points of X, then you can bring an 8 point figure for it to summon, but if you bring a 7 point figure you also have to bring a 3-pointer (assuming one exists that is a legit summoning).
4. Similarly, if a creature has minions (e.g., Snig), you need to bring appropriate minions following the same guidelines as in #3.
***
My contribution: Red Wizard, Medusa, Ambush Drake, Spellstitched Hobgoblin Zombie, and Baaz Draconian. The Red Wizard and Medusa both have incredibly few hit points. The Ambush Drake is terribly overcosted. The Zombie is slow, and the draconian is mediocre filler. The map I selected for the band was Hellspike Grotto, which served to block the Red Wizard's LOSÂ and yet be open enough to make it impossible to effectively protect the RW and Medusa from harm. | | | |

How do you field Snig with all 3 minions and no duplicates?

| | No duplicates only applies to the minis you pay for, not minions or summoned critters. | | | |
