| Tried this today was very impressed, seems like a solid and fun warband
Warpriest of Moradin Gnome Trickster Elminster Epic Storm Silverhand Archmage Dragonmarked Heir Timber Wolf Mialee on Kings Road
Let's say Elminster, Epic Storm and Warpriest are the "core"... what would you change to better it in your opinion? | | Champion of the Kender ckissee - "providing TPK's since 2007" Albert Einstein never once said that if the bees disappeared, "man would have only four years of life left" but the theory is a scary prospect.

| Using Elmnster to bring in the Warpriest and having Storm disrupt their command, all while invisible, still leaves you needing to damage your opponent. Of course you want to deal that damage to everyone without breaking invisibility. Your best choices become Ring of Blades or Mordy's command effect although the Warforged Barbarian and Magmin (summon or warband building) work too.
Be warned that Blindsight can hurt your strategy and fearless creatures don't care. An opposing countersong also wrecks this bands main focus.

| Invisibility while an option isn't something to be relied, and the Silverfire(s) of course are surefire ways to wound "stuff"
Need to read more on countersong, as I have no idea what it might do to Improved countersong
Do you think another beater or two would better serve than the Archmage? | | Champion of the Kender ckissee - "providing TPK's since 2007" Albert Einstein never once said that if the bees disappeared, "man would have only four years of life left" but the theory is a scary prospect.

| The suggestion to find ways to damage things without becoming visible gives me another idea. Take your core of:
Elminster Warpriest of Moradin Gnome Trickster
and stick in a Dragon Totem Hero, who can bring in dragons who can do exactly that--damage lots of bad guys without becoming visible via breath weapon. In particular, the Redspawn Firebelcher can belch all day (well, thrice, anyway) and remain a major annoyance to anyone without blindsight. Of course, you can't forget that you're playing Epic, where Archmages are a dime a dozen. Plus, any of those huge dragons has aura of fear 5, for a really good chance to capitalize on the Warpriest's commander effect. | | "Before God we are all equally wise - and equally foolish." - Albert Einstein Champion of Myopic Half-Orcs Winner, WBC X

| | I was told that "replaces attacks" abilities will make a creature visable again.  A Treant would of course be interesting with the Trickster, though the concept behind this band is the Warpriest and Epic storm. Improved Countersong and Moradin's War Cry and I was wondering what might better compliment them than an Archmage, Dragonmarked, and Gnome Trickster. Elminster is required to bring the Warpriest over of course so he has to stay. | | Champion of the Kender ckissee - "providing TPK's since 2007" Albert Einstein never once said that if the bees disappeared, "man would have only four years of life left" but the theory is a scary prospect. | |

| Raland, I watched part of your game against the CG Spawn band. Even when facing 2 Fearless Barneyspawn, the core concept seemed pretty solid. You may need more offense - my first suggestion is to replace the Gnome with a Crow Shaman. I'd definitely keep the Archmage though.
There's not much wiggle room with the core - either it's going to work or it isn't.

Read your Blood War Insert. Raland is correct--abilities that Replace Attacks will render you visible if you were invisible due to Invisibility Sphere. | | Champion of the Thoqqua

| I was just wanting to revisit my warband after seeing talk about CG epic bands
Some Warbands I've had sucess against
A Epic Solar band without Ballista on the King's Road
A Epic Vlaakith with Balor on the King's Road
A Double Fomorian with Hill Giant Barbarian and Chief
A Double Godslayer with Dragon Totem Hero
Several opponents underestimated the band and admitted it looked random.Â
Some highlights:Â
Banishing Solar Banishing Balor Repeatedly Routing FomoriansÂ
A very cool trick is the oppurtunity of a double close wounds, preferably on the Dragonmarked Heir. | | Champion of the Kender ckissee - "providing TPK's since 2007" Albert Einstein never once said that if the bees disappeared, "man would have only four years of life left" but the theory is a scary prospect.

| --was going to say something about countersong vs. improved version, but then checked and noted that the epic version of Storm has the improved version, so you have a solid core there, IMO-- | | | |

| You vastly understate the amount of times you routed my poor Fomorians
So, since you've went and spoiled all of my NOSTiness, I'd like to work in Mordenkainen, which is easier for me to do since I have no Archmage. Also a Bonded Summoner to bring in some Magmins which can cause damage while invisible, but we talked about all this on Vassal.
The loss of the Archmage hurts a lot with the dismissal and the swords, but a well placed cone from Mordenkainen could force morale saves from most of a band. Also, his Cfx seems tailor made for this band.
I honestly wouldn't have thought of the dragonmark, but the trick worked quite well. I wasn't prepared for that one and I agree that he's a crucial part of the band. | | Hey Woman, Hey Woman!!
