Subject: what about these warbands???

warden of the wood
gnome trickster

The plan is of course make everyone invisibe with the gnome.and then use the fearless invisible moniter lizards to screen for the mage. also the warden has briar web to slow people down and a couple other damaging spells.The archmage may try to get ahead and use the swords depending on the circumstance. i might go with kings road on this one.

 my other one is a different version of gas. im no expert on gas so let me know what it might need.

My plan here was to use the sword of heironouses comander rating and effect to get map initiative moral bonuses for the monks and of course normal initiatives for the stunning attack to be more usefull. aramil helps the monks be harder to hit. the com effect of the sword gives 1 ac. and the lantern bearer helps for those invisible and evil bands. probly kings road also and with a comander 7 you will be picking alot.
so what do you guys think??

I think your second band is the stronger one; if I were to go with an Archamge, I wouldn't use the Warden as an ally.

I agree with Dave that your 2nd warband is better.Â

If you were to run the Archmage, you definately need the Inspiring Marshal for the GMA.  Then you can add in the Gnome Trickster and or other tech / attackers to suit.  Potential adds include:

Shadowdancer(s)
Bralani
Xen'Dirk Champ
VNC
Greycloaks & Wolves

And whatever else I'm forgetting here.  Its too early to remember everything.Â

i won with the archmage band at our local tournament. It was alot more succesfull than i thought.It helped that i got good maps for the archmage. first game won map initiative choose kings road. second game was against a FGFP on his map. cant remember the name of it tho.third i let my apponent use his map because i won initiative and his map was helpspike.I got some great los with the archmage on it but i am debating on weather that or the kings road would be better.I will probly try this with the inspiring marshal next time because there were so many times that with the GMA i could have easily placed swords on my apponent and ran.gnome making everything invisible was great for this squad even tho the mage wasnt invisble that long the invisible screeners were verry successful.
i ended up 3-0.

How were the lizards screening if they were invisable?
Also Grant move action only works when people are in command. It is pretty hard to keep invisable people in command. The archmages blindsight does help.

the lizards were screening against melee units and against things tying to base the archmage not against range. The GMA works for active followers within 6 squares. if something is within 6 squares of the inspiring marshal than they are under comand regardless of being invisible. Like i said i havent tried it with the inspiring marshal but im sure other people have and I think useing the GMA to get your invisible mage into possision and than casting 2 mordys swords and moving 8 squares away is usefull.
