I see a lot of posts about whether this mini or that mini is a good skirmish piece. I find most of the minis made are look really cool and I hate to think I paid all this money to have the perfect piece for that one encounter.
So I decided to create warbands using ALL, well most, my minis. With 10 sets, where do I start. Well, I’m starting at the top.
What is the most expensive skirmish piece? Step right up Mr. Stone Golem. Is it a good skirmish piece? No, not at all. But for fun this is what I came up with.

134 Stone Golem
045 Cleric of Dol’Arrah*
004 Aasimar Fighter
004 Aasimar Fighter
004 Aasimar Fighter
003 Man-At-Arms
003 Man-At-Arms
003 Man-At-Arms

134 Stone Golem
045 Purple Dragon Knight*
005 Timber Wolf
004 Aasimar Fighter
003 Man-At-Arms
003 Man-At-Arms
003 Man-At-Arms
003 Man-At-Arms

134 Stone Golem
027 Harmonium Guard**
021 Village Priest*
005 Timber Wolf
004 Hill Dwarf Warrior
003 City Guard
003 City Guard
003 City Guard
**commander for Stone Golem

These are all FUN warbands, if you want to contribute; my goal is to hit 8 activations.

What I learned so far:
Stone Golem needs a tough commander and can be effective piece in a point denial strategy.

Next up: Trumpet Archon...
