Okay folks. You've got two weeks.

Whoever can submit the best set of aquatic rules for DDM skirmish, and is a contributor to the WotC boards, will get them published in Knowledge Arcana.

Our next issue is a water-themed issue, and we've got until March 1 for our deadline.

I've seen a lot of very cool ideas here and elsewhere, and I've got some of my own. But, my job is to get other people to write, not to write all the articles myself.

Please post submission ideas over there.  But, feel free to post comments here.

Ready?

Go!

Well my first idea for aquatic rules would be to make some aquatic mini's.

KA has been cranking out unofficial minis, and we're more than willing to push the envelope and give people more options for play.

There are a ton of great ideas on all three of the major minis boards, so I'm hoping to get some excellent submissions.

KA10 is aquatic themed (due out late spring early summer)

KA11 is urban themed (due out late summer early fall)

Haven't seen much action in this area. Apparently, for all those who've clamored for aquatic rules, only one has had the desire to actually write up the stuff in article format.

Pity, I was looking forward to having too many to read.

How do we submit our rules?

And what do you expect? movement? line of sight? damage? attack bonuses? Special rules?

Well, the deadline for submissions is tomorrow. What I'm looking for is articles; the kinds of things you could find in an issue of Knowledge Arcana (see my sig). In the article, I'd like a set of hypothetical rules of "aquatic" play for skirmish. Among the possible things to include would be terrain rules, movement rules, special abilities, and maybe some example creatures. Other things could be good too, but I'll leave that to the individual writers.

I have one piece I'm going over, and I'll check whatever other submissions I receive. If one of them stands out, I'll pass it on to my editor in chief for consideration.
