The Warband Building Challenge is an exercise in warband building.  During each challenge, you have an opportunity to build a band with a new set of limits.  In the past, we've had a "no toolkit" challenge, a 500-point, Drider-legal challenge, an alphabetical challenge, and all kinds of other great challenges.

Who can participate?  Anyone.

What do you win?  The winner gets to run the next WBC.

How does it work?  The community votes on each match.  Rather than play the matches, on, say, Vassal, the person currently running the WBC collects the votes and counts them all (and figures out a way to decide tie-breakers) and posts the results.  The person who is running the current challenge is responsible for making sure the submitted bands are legal, and for fairly working out the pairings, and for keeping track of who wins each round (and what the winning conditions are).

So anyone can vote?  Yep.  You don't need to be competing to vote.  As a matter of fact, we make the bands anonymous so that you can vote for your own band (it's up to the person running the challenge whether or not to allow people's votes for their own bands to count).  You can only vote once per round, but you can change any of your votes until the deadline for that round.

Why should I participate?  You get to learn more about the game.  You get to see how well you can design bands against other people trying to do the same thing.  The more participants there are, each round, the more fun it is to have your band make it through a round and push on to the next round.  The more people participate, the more the WBC contributes to the community's cohesiveness too.

So, if you haven't done so, please jump in and join those of us who have enjoyed the previous WBCs.

Maybe people are distracted by the impending Unhallowed release...

Perhaps. I just don't want any of the newer members to think that they cannot participate.

And, I'm perfectly happy to delay the voting until I get a nice pile of submissions.
