| | You're probably right about the impatience part. The previous two matches the tactic of jump in and kill the big guy was sound. Against this opponent it was totally different. There really wasn't a "Big Guy". So I tried to get rid of his commander and eliminate the fearless cfx so that his spellcasters wouldn't hang out so long. Unfortunately the the plan backfired on me. | | Trade References||60 Trades Completed||Louisville Gaming Society||LGS Forums||Trade With Me Steven C Johnson, LGS Administrator All Gamers of Any Sort are Welcomed!

| A team with Storm & 2 Cormyreans is a real headache for dancers - mainly due to Storm acting as the targeting sight for multiple lightning bolts.
As such, the pieces to go after are the War Wizards. Base each wiz with 2 dancers and sneak attack for 40. This won't kill them, but they're effectively neutered while based and have to break away to cast any spells. Hit with an AoO and they're toast.
If you can get your Storm to countersong your opponent's Storm's 'fearless' effect then the wizards might not even survive the 2 sneak attacks as they'll have to check morale after the second hit.
Of course this does leave your dancers a little open to retaliatory Silver Fire - but I think you just have to brace yourself and suck it up as it's far preferable to 4 30 damage lightning bolts. At this point, basing your opponents Storm with your own might be an idea to restrict the arc of the Silver Fire. | | | |

This is one of the reasons I'm not sold on 2 Corm's, and would rather one of them be a Warmage. Between Ring of Blades and Empowered Shocking Grasp, they have something to do if based. Of course, two sneak attacks also kills them where it doesn't the Cormyrean, so an Aasimar or Lantern Bearer (or Dragonmark) is needed to keep them alive unless the Dancer band whiffs (unlikely) with a sneak attack. However, if the Mage does live, between bat and shocking grasp, either both Dancer's have made morale checks or one is dead. | | Trade Ref Thread: http://www.maxminis.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=16247 Homes: http://games.loopingthehen.com
