Holy crap. Let that sink in. Just absorb it.
Now... let me be the first to say that this map may give whole new life to slow moving LG units. Seriously.

| Yeah, a bolt of acid or lightning can get through trees, but good luck going through a building.
This could be very nice as an anti-LBD map.
All we need now is an ethereal blast that ignores terrain as a line-12 effect.

| My question is:
How does this effect radius effects? Does a radius 4 template essentially become a radius 2 template? (Since, after all, the "target area" is represented by the four squares in the middle.) Or, do you pick the square of the target mini (if medium) and calculate radius from there? What if it is a large mini?
I'm guessing that a radius 4 becomes a radius 2.

| Radius effects are blocked by things that block line of effect. So, once you've chosen the origin point of the effect, you simply count distance from there. It makes no difference what the size of the target creature is.
If the area of effect is completely composed of squares like market stalls or rooftops, a radius 4 would only affect an area the same size as a radius 2, but IMO that isn't a good way of thinking about it since you'll often be dealing with situations where some of the area is within these types of squares and some is not. | | A Proud Gelatinous Dude

Right... I was working under the assumption that the entire radius fell within rooftop squares.
