| So, I'm going to be gone most of today, and this weekend might be busy for me. I decided to start this thread so I don't forget; and I didn't want to clog up any of the other WBC threads with this.
I'll start posting the bands I didn't go with, probably on Monday.
Unless, of course, the submission deadline gets extended, then we'll resurrect this thread later.

| Well, I'm not really sure what's going on in the other thread yet. But, there are some bands I didn't use that I can post here.
Band #1 (I liked the idea of the GMA for the Zakya and Duergar) Chaotic Good: Inspiring Marshal, Bralani Eladrin, Shadowdancer, Xeph Warrior Lawful Evil: Duergar Champion x2, Zakya Rakshasa, Goblin Skirmisher
Band #2 (LBD SWarm anyone?) Lawful Good: Sacred Watcher x4 Chaotic Evil: Large Black x2, Tiefling Cpt, Orc Wardrummer
Band #3 (Shadowdancers are plenty tough to begin with, but being in command anywhere on a map is nice) Chaotic Good: Shadowdancer x3, Wild Elf Warsinger Lawful Evil: Ultroloth, Duergar Champion, Greenspawn Sneak x2
Band #4 (I liked the idea of the Winter Wolves getting the YM's commander effect) Lawful Good: Young Master, Githzerai Monk x3 Chaotic Evil: Winter Wolf x2, Orc Warrior x2
Band #5 (The Shield Guardian can make the Vampire Aristocrat last a long time, and, expeditious retreat on a Shield Guardian is just cool) Chaotic Evil: Vampire Aristocrat, Large Black Dragon, Cursed Spirit x2 Lawful Good: Shield Guardian, Standardbearer, Dwarf Artificer, Caravan Guard
Band #6 (LBDs with Powerful Charge looked fun) LG: Alusair Okarskyr, Sacred Watcher, Aasimar Fighter CE: Large Black Dragon x3
Band #9 (Bralanis with an extra +10 on morale saves seemed tough) LE: Human Blackguard, Fiendish Dire Weasel, Hobgoblin Warrior x2 CG: Bralani Eladrin x4
Band #10 (I just figured that an abyssal blast followed up by some Shadowjumping assassins would be good, but Soth is too weak.) LE: Lord Soth, Goblin Skirmisher x3 CG: Shadowdancer x3, Wild Elf Warsinger

| I had an idea to try to make the LE Executioner’s Blade ability work by adding some CG Improved Countersong. My “Bardic Execution” idea was: Inspiring Marshal 2 x Voice of Battle Wild Elf Warsinger Ogre Executioner Half-Orc Executioner 2 x Human Executioner The big problem is that even with their Executioner Blades always working (until the nearby Voices of Battle are killed), the LE Executioners are still not that scary in melee. They have bad AC’s for LE, and mostly only one attack. I ended up opting for a different submission – which will likely be one of the many victims of the deadly Fire Giant Forgepriest + Lyrandar Skyfire Captain warbands. Was there any different composition that would have made “Bardic Execution” slightly better? | | - Mobius Champion of the Duergar | |

| I like these ideas, wish a bit more variety had been submitted.
As for bardic execution, what about a warchanter instead of a voice of battle to boost saves so the executioners are more likely to stick around after their morale checks? | | Greyhaze's DDM Spoilers Champion of a Medium Dog & then a Darkenbeast , Raistlin Majere, Nightmare WDQ25/60, Warduke WD60/60, Anti-Champion of Guns, "Knight of Bugbears", and Joke Champion of Venger. | Here's the one I came closest to using but rejected:
Ghaele Eladrin Graypeak Goblin Archer x8 Devis Xeph Warrior x2
With magic weapon and volley for every goblin, they'd actually have a fair chance to hit most stuff with no worry about DR. Plus, with up to 16 goblin shots per round, there's plenty of opportunity for the Eladrin's commander effect to kick in for even more shots. The big down side, of course, is the potentially low damage output of the goblins against high AC opponents, especially with bad luck on the map--though the Ghaele always has a good chance to get her map.
I also thought of and rejected the twice used combo of Sky Captain + Forgepriest. I also considered an augmented CE beater band:
21 Tiefling Captain 39 Orc Champion 44 Large Black Dragon 40 Red Samurai 45 Kolyarut 08 Aasimar Fighter x2 03 Man-at-arms
And then there was a Young Master build similar to Vrecknidj's, but I was looking at the Vampire Dire Wolf.
There were a few others, but I can't find my notes at the moment. | | "Before God we are all equally wise - and equally foolish." - Albert Einstein Champion of Myopic Half-Orcs Winner, WBC X | |

| I considered Drizzt and Artimis. I just thought it'd be cool to get those two fighting together. High on cool, low on effective. \ | | Never teach a pig to sing. It's a waste of time and it annoys the pig.
