| I am pleasantly suprised by both of these. I had figued both would be commanders, but instead they are both tanks.
The Exarch of Tyranny is pretty scary. AC 24! Ring of blades, cleave, decent attacks, gains HP for killing stuff with no upper limit. Its a bit expensive, but I'd say its worth it.
Champion of Dol Dorn's speed 4 is a significant drawback, but 95 HP and save 11 means he'll stay around. Feat of Strength is awesome, and provoke is a nice bodyguardish ability too. I really like it, despite the low speed.

| Exarch of Tyranny looks real good. Good HP, great AC, good attack bonus, all those Special Abilities.Â
Maybe the only slight drawback is level 8.  Maybe the Human Blackguard makes a comeback. Â

As far as I know, "Exarch" is a title, comperable to a governer. I am not sure if there is some resource with a class called "Exarch of Tyranny" but I'm thinking he's just supposed to be a tyrannical lord who is a fighter type, perhaps with the cash for some serious magical items.

| Whee- this makes me plenty happy, some nice old schoolish beaters. Is it just me or does the Exarch of Tyranny feel sort of like an update for the Thayan Knight?
Champion of Dol Dorn is nice too, but I'm afraid that speed four will kill it, I'll almost always be able to avoid melee with it, and out of melee it is worthless. | |

And speed 4 for the doldrums guy just stinks. Speed 4 kills a lot of figures. When something has a single move that's as fast as your double move, you have very little room to maneuver. | |

Exarch's revel is huge...not as big as his 24 ac!!!... he's already solid and ring of blades is nice, ohh and cleave, and high att's (very high after LE boosts)... now if storm porc just goes on a little hiatis...
Dol Dorn is nice too... huge hp, great att, situational special abilities make him nice... not too spendy really...

| | yeah... ran into that problem when playing on frostfell rift with the Thrall of Blackblade... its nice to push them into the pit but when they make the save and move away and have reach it sucks... probably use it for the kill when you need 10 dmg or if you can slide into a pit. | |

You can always position your figures not around (adjacent to) the Exarch. | |

I agree that the Ring of Blades will indeed be a nice feature.Â
Win an important Initiative and run the Exarch up next to as many enemy units as possible and when they activate 5 damage. This can be really big versus 65 HP emenies for all of the other 15 or 30 point damage hitters as it puts them at 2 hits to a MC, or 4 or 2 hits from death and a Cleave.Â
Or if something gets down to 5 HP, when it activates it dies.  Of course killing it off would be better.   
Still, my only worry is the Exarch's Level 8. Gonna need a solid commander to keep him in the game or as mentioned elsewhere maybe the Rakshasa and steal Storm's CFX versus Strom PORC warbands.Â

in the current meta game auto dmg units will ignore is AC24 and toast his 75 HPs in no time. | | | |

I tend to agree. But if he can get some Energy Protection and an Ultroloth nerfs the attackers, AC 24 can be brutal to hit.Â
