| So there will be a set of 60 minis from the first 11 sets that will be making the transition to DDM 2.0, here's my list. I of course am taking an assumption that "set" means 24 rares, 24 uncommons, and 12 commons.

| We, the online communities, get to vote on what figures will be allstars, and I don't mean they will just concider our input I mean they will make whatever figures get the most votes into allstars....or at least thats how I interpreted the comments in the seminar. Someone even asked if huges will be on the allstar list and was answered with (paraphrasing) "thats entirely up to what you guys vote for so its possible".
The breakdown won't be like a set, 24 rares, 24 uncommons, 12 commons except if it works out that way coincidentally. It will be entirely possible to have 60 rare allstars or 39 rares 23 uncommons and 8 commons. Heck there may be NO commons retrofitted as allstars.

And I'd prefer to play with the 60 best looking minis from the early sets, rather than 60 drab looking figures that happened to have low points cost for their stats.

PS: For those out of the loop, I lent Joe a Hyena for the championship as he was missing one. I don't know that it was really an All Star piece for him though.
PPS: My friend AP got to play Kiddoc at the community draft and Kiddoc's Timber Wolf miraculously rallied and provided Ulmo a flank, which caused AP's FGFP to fall, which gave Kiddoc the win. | |

| The thing about an All-Star list, though, is that the stats on the figures will change. And, perhaps, they'll change significantly. So, we can't really base our decision on how effective the piece has currently been. For instance, Mina could turn out to be a find choice as an All-Star, because she could get remade to be a viable skirmish piece.
I wonder about how many of the Uniques ought to make the cut, and I wonder whether we should aim for All-Stars that have both 200-point and 500-point versions of stats.

| I totally agree that current skirmish viability is moot if they're only going to re-stat them anyway. Therefore, just make the "Big 60" all commons to assure the next generation of skirmishers has access to them. THat'll make the 2.0 skirmish viability the highest.  Another point. Since the 2.0 version won't have commanders, should we consider pieces like the Couatl and CoDA as possibilities since they won't be commanders under the new regime.  Point #3. Why doesn't everyone just write in "Blink Dog" 60 times on the voting form. Maybe the message will get to those that matter that we STILL need one. Which reminds me, if Blinky is not included in 4.0, I'm never switching. Never. Nope. Nuh-uh. | |

No, they did not say that. They said that they would leave it up to us, the playing DDM community, to decide with our votes as to which minis make the 60 member all-star team. So, I'd vote for classic MM1 monsters, favourite uniques, etc.
It would be nice to be able to enter a competitive environment with things like Mind Flayer, Displacer Beast, Troll, Ogre, Wraith, Large Red Dragon, Drizzt, etc. | |

yeah i think so too. Also I was thinking....if we don't pick MM1 monsters they will print them anyways because D&D wouldn't be D&D without mind flyers, ogres, trolls displacer beast etc....
I also picked a lot of stuff that is in my collection so I wouldn't lose as much but I guess thats a little selfish of me | |

Go ahead and be selfish with regard to DDM. I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with that. We collect lots of the things we like, and hope to see them be useful both in RPG and skirmish. | |

We, the online communities, get to vote on what figures will be allstars, and I don't mean they will just concider our input I mean they will make whatever figures get the most votes into allstars....or at least thats how I interpreted the comments in the seminar.
Then I'm going to vote for the 60 best sculpted & painted minis (e.g. Couatl, Large Red Dragon) If they are being compleatly restated anyway, it doesn't matter how poor their stats were in ddm-1.0. And I'd prefer to play with the 60 best looking minis from the early sets, rather than 60 drab looking figures that happened to have low points cost for their stats.
I wanna add the 60 Best sculpted & Painted RARES miniatures, and maybe some uncommons (Not humanoids, not commanders).

| Ok, after some looking through all of the old set lists, here's my "60 All Stars" I'd like to see. Â
I choose from the sets from Harbinger through Blood War, although personally IMO Blood War should be one of the sets converted (ie Blood War through Desert of Desolation should be the sets that get converted).Â
Also, in choosing I selected 15 from each faction, sort of to keep them equal.Â

I have not heard that the Drider Sorcerer was going to be remade of DoD, but if so then that is great news indeed and opens a slot on the CE All Stars list. Therefore, in place of the Drider I would choose either the Chull (my first choice) or Githyanki Dragon Knight (hopefully all of Blood War gets new cards).Â
