| So, what do you think?
Dwarf Warlord x3
That's 174 points, so, it's the bulk of your band. But, if you go first (with any of the three) in a round, they're all looking like this...
Dwarven Waraxe +21 (20) Drive into Peril +21 (30) + push Speed 7
Oh yes, I'm definitely going to be trying this.
Frostfell Rift for maximum fun.

| One of the things I've enjoyed about three Dwarf Warlords is that they're tough enough to run them all up in a bunch against some enemy. The first does Drive into Peril for 30, but pushes 0 squares. The second does Drive into Peril and pushes 1 square, giving the first one another strike. Next round, the third does Drive into Peril for another 30 and pushes 1 square, and, if lucky sets up two strikes. Provided they hit (and they might not), that's a colossal amount of damage.

| I played 3 Dwarf Warlords, 2 merchant guards, and 3 farmers vs a Large Gold, Cleric of Pelor, 2 Merchant Guards, and some farmers last night on the new Dwarven Outpost map. It was a very close game. I focused my offense on the Gold, and had it down to 30 hp with 2 Dwarf Warlords remaining. He went first though, and rolled 2 16s on his attacks, and ended his turn in a victory area, getting 45 hp back and killing one of my remaining dwarfs. My last dwarf wasn't enough to take either the dragon or the cleric down. It didn't look close at the end, as he had me sorely outactivated, and won by a good bit of points, but had I went first that last round, I could have used my last Drive and dropped the dragon, getting me the win.
Both of these bands are very solid. The dwarves, even if they can only provoke one attack per Drive, are still very solid. They seem to not do as well against titans as they might against a multi-hitter band, as it's less likely that they'll end up adjacent to multiple enemies and recharge Drive against a titan build.Â
I would not be surprised to see either or both of these bands do well in qualifiers this year.

| The combat healing is just a special ability not a champ ability. So the 2 hits triggered and then he used the Champ ability to heal in the VA.

Part of me would be happy for bands I'd dreamed up to do well in the qualifiers. Part of me would hate it if I got beaten by a band I'd posted.
Part of me wants me to quit posting bands.
Part of me knows that others have already thought up better ones and I haven't found them yet!

Dave, calm down. You're getting all wishy washy on us now. Step back, take a deep cleansing breath, and pray you come up with the right warband in time.Â

| it's hard to just give away your ideas... I know I'll keep posting but i'm always holding my "best stuff" back a little at least. But at the same time discussing builds and pieces is the reason for this place right? No one reads this forum anyway... Right? ;)
dwarf warlord lost some umph with the new pit rules but is still nice. EB's and stalkers could still be a long day... And the MF lich can ruin anyone's day really fast. 3 is probably too much. Back on topic, you might want to play all three.
