And if you forget to use it, then it's probably the judge's discretion how to proceed (for example, if you forget, but there's only been a single activation in the game, the judge may allow you to move it--but, your opponent's placement of pieces may be altered, which could result in returning to that earlier state). And then there would probably be a procedural error citation.
