| We hit 16 players exactly! Here's a list of bands. Let me know quickly on here if you don't see yours listed. I will give 48 hours (till Saturday) to give any one who submitted and are not listed a chance to resubmit. Round 1 pairings will go up on Sat evening or Sunday. We will be playing at least 5 rounds of swiss with a cut of top 2 or top 4 depending on how many prizes we have.

| A lot of this isn't too surprising. Wild Mage on top. Astral Stalker, Drider, Large Shadow Dragon all pretty standard.
Not much Civ love, also not too surprising really.
I thought there might be a few more CWWs, although I can't say I'm too shocked about most of The Unloved. Halfling Paladin I might have thought to see in there, but then again with this lot going Good and Civilized was basically a waste.
I am a bit surprised to see a Lamia in there. I know the semi-recent spotlight article got some thought moving for her, but it still seems like she requires too much to make her worthwhile...
Unfortunately, there are going to be a few pretty similar matchups. If these games were being played out, I'd say a lot would depend on dice.

| I'm pretty happy with the results. There are some similar approaches but no bands are even closely alike. That's actually much more than I expected from a freeform approach to a pool like this.

| was very bummed to see the shadow dragon and the wild Mage nominated... Figured there would be a bunch o those...
Figured we'd see a lot more turmish/wildmage/CWW combos...
Surprised we didn't see one vampire dire wolf or strahd...
Lack of good civ doesn't surprise me. AoV+ halfling pali+ battlemaster and then what?
A few too many of the same figures for my liking. If there weren't actual prizes we may have seen slightly more diverse returns... No exact same bands though...
Kudos to the lamia and the ice archon! Go team different. Lack of high high dmg makes the Lamia's ac and formless fun in this format. Does she has RES necrotic too? And icy boy benifits from big ac and hit everything att bonus in this format. Good to see someone thinking outside the box. Same goes for Quoari! You can join team different too! | |

| To be fair, I think I threw in the Vampire Hunter to dissuade the use of too many undead...particular after the two vampire undead you mention above. Any piece with built-in hate was just weird in this format. He was part of my original warband idea, but when I looked at the list more closely, I realized that I wasn't thinking like a Tier 1 competitive crazy. So I had to mutate the idea a bit. I'm happy with the diversity. Sure, some of these warbands are almost mirror matches, but most of them are different enough it should stay interesting.
Oh and "Go Team Different!" Sounds like a reference to an episode of Pokemon, for some reason. That out of the way, I think there are more freak pieces in the comp than expected. The Bone Naga and the Vrock are both choices I wasn't expecting to see. I will say that I wasn't expecting to see so many pieces with Conceal or Hide, particularly with the new Bat Familiar running around.
