This may have already been covered but, for instance on the goblin picador"s card the thrown harpoon immobilizes but doesn't say anything about a save. If he's lucky enough to hit a dragon for example, the dragon's pinned for the rest of the game or until dead?

All game effects last until the end of the creature's next turn unless the card text says otherwise.
