| | I'd have to say the Barbed Devil was a huge dissapointment when it came to Skirmish. Everyone was so happy with the figure and wanted to use it, and then you see its stats and it just makes you want to wince. His damage output is just laughable for his cost, so sad. | | Champion of a Knight of Takhisis/Knight of Neraka | |

| I love Dragons!
I love Elves!
I love Vampires!
Not a one of any of them are worth a damn!
Ok, not true, but still...
I could go on and on about Dragons, so we'll skip them.
For Elves, it's easily the Divine Champion of Corellon. She would be AWESOME anti-Marut tech if only she did more damage. Pair her with the Cleric of Corellon and she's nigh-Fearless and can have a +2 attack buff for +22/+17. Throw in the Elf Pyro for sonic immunity, and she's ready to rock... except she costs so much that those 3 figures are 3/4ths of your warband. Bah!
For Vampires, gotta be the Vamp Aristocrat. That 13 Speed would be devastating, if only he could do something useful when he gets where he's going. They better fix the overcosting problems before they make my beloved Strahd!

| my top three in no particular order...
Half giant psi war...so close...+10 hp and +2 to att and he would probably be staple...
Thaskor...as previously stated any one of those extra things and he would see play...any two and he would be LE's Marut...
hunched giant/stone giant...the numbers only add up to you wasting points...but why??? | | Rock Bottom Pricing: Arcane Archer 30, Centaur Hero 67, Human Cleric of Bane 25, Gold Champion 34, Death Knight 52, Goblin Blackblade 9, Silentwolf Goblin 7, Orc Raider 10, Dwarf axefighter 9, Healer 9, Thaskor 65, Aspect of Demogorgon 71, Ogre 9, Fire Giant 79, Human Wanderer 7, Drunken Master 18, Barghest 12, Longstider Barbarian 27, Longtooth Barbarian 22, Frost Giant 76, Ravenous Vampire 42, Large Earth Elemental: priceless

The Crazed Attacker drawback is, IMHO, the worst thing about the Gray Render. That lost me quite a few matches against Githzerai Monks fighting behind cover when the Render could have been whacking meatier targets... | | Daezarkian Demonic Accountant

| HGPW (Half-Giant Psychic Warrior) absolutely. At +10 hp and either +2 to level or +2 to atk and he would have been tier 1 for at least a year until War Drums came out.
Centaur Hero would be playable and possibly tier 1 with +1 level, +5 dmg, or -10 cost (definitely with the latter).
Barbed Devil I really wish they got right. Give him 2 atks and a rend and he'd be worth the cost. | | Champion of Neogi

| | Besides the Arcane Archer, I wish the original Troll and Hill Giant were also blessed with better skirmish stats. The Troll is not an easy fix because regen could be broken in 100 pt games, but I think the stats are close enough, and that its cost should be lower. The original Hill Giant is easy to fix - give it two attacks at about +10/+5 like the Ogre Ravager. With its pushback and higher HP, level, AC, and damage, it would then be worth playing. | | Over 270 successful online DDM trades. | |

| My top 3:
3. Roper: I wish there were some way to make this guy tougher and more playable. Maybe if the point cost was about 1/3 to 1/2 less.
2. Grim Necromancer: What's the point of making a Necromancer commander and not giving him warband building to allow CE or all undead into his warband? He could also use a few more hit points. The epic Aspect of Nerull does this, but it's just too damned expensive, and useful undead to bring in at 200 are simply too wimpy in Epic to be worth considering.
1. Red Wizard: As several others have stated, he would be the great center of a warband, if only he had a few more (i.e., double) hit points, or a solid bodyguard.

| Girallon. It might be as simple as +5 HP, honestly. (It might be a little more than that, but who knows, because he dies or routs so fast!)
Loyal Earth Elemental gets an honorable mention. Take away that -4 versus flyers, and he's golden.

Maybe if it the ability for its levels of Bow Intines, it might be better, but the then the points would be much higher. So that is not really the answer. 34 points and 10 magic damage not 15. also what do you wished worked better about him? (i think you got it mixed up with most under rated mini)

Thinking along the same lines; when I look at the Gold Dwarf Fighter, its stats make me cry when compared to the Duergar Champion. The latter is just so much better for almost the same cost. | Drizzt.
I really wish they put Dual Activation on Drizzt, that alone would make him worth his point cost. Or at least made Guenhwyvar a minion, letting him splash Guen in the band for free. (Hmmm... there's a thought.) Even Conceal 11 might have done the trick. (Globe of darkness) And lastly the new S.A. hunter should fit very well with Drizzt for obvious reasons.
At least any one of these would make him better.
Here's hoping his epic stats have all of the above mentioned special abilities. | | "I never threaten, I merely promise." -Elminster of Shadowdale

| its too bad that the wizards haven't been smart enough to cast mage armor, ghostly visage, mirror image, so on and so forth *before* going into battle. I hope future mages figure that one out.
I wish the iron cobra's atk bonus was a little higher.
I wish trog captains lvl wasn't so stinky. a +11 MC on a 50ish pt. cost commander? ewwww.
knowing that he's going to suffer from cover penalties alot chain devil could have done with a higher AB
