| I've seen a number of different timelines, but they are always getting contradicted and changed everytime something new comes out.
It's hard to make a descision about what stays and what goes when really not much can actually be called Canon. | |

Wow a complete history in one book...You might have to wait until 2006 when a new Star Wars Encyclopedia is supposed to be released the last one was good but was published in 1998. This book did have quite a bit but a lot of the Old Republic wasn't written until after that.
The Old Replublic Source book should give a great deal of Star Wars when the galaxy was still large a very little was still explored. Then there are the complete guide books that can give you alot of info on a specific topic (Character guide, Planet guide, equipment guide.) | |

| Star Wars: The Essential Cronology
It was written before Episode 2 came out so there is only The Phantom Menace info and the it ends with the Young Jedi Knights series of books so there is no New Jedi Order either.
But I STRONGY suggest you scoop this book up. Its not an RPG book but its the history of the SW Galaxy that spans 5000 years before the movies up to right before the New Jedi Order (minus most of th eprequels).

The down side of the book, before long it too will be outdated, with ongoing novels, comics and possibly a live-action series, but hey, it's not like it doesn't happen with most books.
