| I never had the chance to play it, but I read a lot about it [:D]. It would be right up my ally as I love controlling armies, and diplomacy (favorite feat in D20 = Leadership).
Do you happen to know of a site that updates the rule (or has them for free [:)]) of the mass battles/army control? | | "...don’t try to outweird me, I get stranger things than you free with my breakfast cereal." - Zaphod Beeblebrox Champion of the Nymph!

Its at www.birthright.net. There's a message at the front of that site that will make fans of this setting VERY happy.
Tried that link, and got a site not found message (3 times tried it.)

It does work. Here's the message:
Anuire Press Acquires The BIRTHRIGHT RPG License
Anuire Press Inc.(The joined BRnet community authors) is pleased to announce that it has negotiated a deal with Hasbro Inc. to take over Birthright Roleplaying Game of Wizards of the Coast. The BIRTHRIGHT campaign setting for the D&D game makes this possible as never before. Role-play warriors, wizards, priests, and thieves descended from royal bloodlines, command imperial powers, and control the destinies of far-reaching lands. Anuire Press will begin by releasing a revised edition of the core rulebook which will contain material previously found in the original game.
The revised edition of BIRTHRIGHT will be released in Nov 2005.

| Could say the same about dragonlance and yet it seems to be doing fine.
I just hope that some one buys Darksun, and Spelljammer soon.
Never got around to playing Red Steel either [:(] looked like a fun setting. | | "...don’t try to outweird me, I get stranger things than you free with my breakfast cereal." - Zaphod Beeblebrox Champion of the Nymph!

| Dark Sun ruled!! That was an awesome setting! I loved just about everything about! The negative side-effects of Arcane Magic was a excellent and evil twist. [}:)]
Mul, Half-Giants, Thri-Kreen & Dragon Kings!! Life of a Slave or Gladiator life was just generally SH**. Just sooo much fun!
Spelljammers was fun, but only once in awhile usually as a in-between between different setting campaigns. (Just did some massive world saving in Krynn time to see whats happening in Toril!) That was pretty much everything I hated about Spelljammer. That and giant space hamsters. I mean, c'mon, what were they smoking? | | Ghendar - Now with 51% more snark

| Spelljammer had some things going for it, but it was a weird setting.
I mean, when did elves become militant and Lawful Neutral?
I did love the illithid ships, the neogi with their umber hulk slaves (so nice that they've revived this in Lords of Madness), and quest for the living spelljammer made for some pretty good adventures back in the day.... | | Have: Cat; Want: Storm Giant Champion of Anything Dragonlance Before trading, please check the Disputed Trades Thread

| I can't belive I am just hearing about the Neogi in LoM this past week... I have to get that book now.
And yea Lab Monkey I must say my players freaked out when the Elven Armada got so bent out of shape over a few broken laws [:D].
Can anyone remember what the big floating city/planet/ship thingie was called again? The one ruled by the kinda sorta good Beholder? | | "...don’t try to outweird me, I get stranger things than you free with my breakfast cereal." - Zaphod Beeblebrox Champion of the Nymph!

| That is really good news for Birthright. I read about it a lot and it seemed interesting but never got into it.
Maybe, if done well, I can get a chance with the new edition. | | Completed Trades: Crescent Hawk, Vimes, demagogue, vidman, Eric is God, Strachan Fireblade, FungiMuncher, Dudeeehm, Shasack, gausse, kyrin, nyjastul69 Champion of the Remorhaz

It took TSR with it? Really? I never knew Birthright was the cause of the demise of TSR. I always thought it was shoody products and an unending series of FR supplements (each of more dubious quality and utility than the last). | | Completed Trades: Crescent Hawk, Vimes, demagogue, vidman, Eric is God, Strachan Fireblade, FungiMuncher, Dudeeehm, Shasack, gausse, kyrin, nyjastul69 Champion of the Remorhaz
