| Lords of Madness has a small section with the similarities between certain aberrations and Cthulhu.

| They weren't in DK, but
Illithid (1D4/1D10) - Humanoid, but that's where the similarity ends. Utterly silent, dead white eyes and constantly writhing tentacles. They'd function as a fantastic servitor race for one of the more powerful Old Ones. Heck, they're made in the image of Great Cthulhu!
I like this, I wonder how many more we can cook up. Ah heck, ZOMBIES, lets not forget Re-Animator. | | Support awesome games: Play Hecatomb!

| The Gibbering Mouther could be a baby Shuggoth. [:D]
Otyughs and Grick look fairly Lovecraftian too.
And of course Kuo-toa for Deep Ones...

| The Aspect of Demogorgon is definitely on the weird list.
the Barghest and Umber hulk, sure. The displacer beast? That would scare the heck of traditional "kitty lovers". [)]
Carrion Crawler? Large Monstrous Spider, I would think.
Bone Devil? Nothic! Abyssal Eviscerater is pretty out there. Abyssal Maws, too. Maybe the Xill?
the Blue Slaad is pretty viscious. Oh, the Nightwalker! That's a big evil ugly right there! Ettercaps are pretty out there.
The Ethereal Filcher? Should drive a few mad. Hook horror, maybe?
Anyway, I just took a look through the minis, and that's what jumped out at me. Take them as suggestions/hopefulls. [:)] | | Trade & talk in real time on IRC! SERVER: irc.psionics.net CHANNEL: #maxminis SOFTWARE: PC | PC (free) | MAC

| The Gibbering mouther does sterling duty as a shoggoth, or at least part of one. I think I do prefer the Sahuagian over the Kuo-toa sculpt wise, although they could both be Deep Ones realy.

| | Not really what this thread is about, but related. A student recently gave me a Hard Plastic Cthulhu representtion, which is the perfect size for a huge fig. So I just plan on getting an extra base and adding him on, cook up a stat card and strike fear and madness into the hearts of my enemies. | | "We can't stop here...This Is Bat country!"

| I must agree. Call of Cuthullu finally provides a purpose for that Aspect of Demogorgis figure.

| Agreed, although I'd be tempted to replace the baboon heads with somthing more approriate. Either some extra tentacles, or maybe a head(s) swap of some sort.

| Well there are the old CoC minatures that you can get through Chaosium, lemme try to dig up some painted fig pictures.
Here's a Dark Young of Shubb-Niggerauth

A whole host of Critters, nicely painted too.
