| | Yeah, I saw that in the WoTC catalogue...it seems too setting specific for me. I loved magic of faerun, but this seems to focus too much on alternate magic systems. | |

| It is more world specific it would seem. Looks like it'll have lots on the distinctive magic items of Eberron, bound elementals and Shards in particular.

| | I found it a little disappointing as well. I do like that they have a little more "fluff", but it didn't really flesh out the areas that I am interested...like anything about the alternate shifters. I could have lived without a chapter devoted to kalashtar or changelings. | |

Heh, I loved the sections on Kalashtar (and Inspired), and happy with the Changeling stuff. We have one of each in our game and they are covered so littel in the ECS. | |

| I guess it just depends on the game. We have a party of all warforged at the moment, and there has been a lot of talk about someone playing a shifter in the future. We get a lot of use out of the chapters devoted to those two races, but I am kind of apprehensive about trying one of the "Weird" races in our homebrew.

| Another must buy for me.
Races of Eberron was a good read.
Very useful for the guy in our group playing a warforged. Also some handy stuff on Valenar elves, another player's character.
I can't wait to get my hands on the Magic of Eberron book. I expect it'll have a good chunk on dragonshards and other very relevant stuff.
