Name generators from Seventh Sanctum (lots of different ones).

Thought I used to have a bunch more than that but most of my bookmarks now seem to be dead.

If you prefer to download your generators, I use Bruce Gulke's TableSmith a LOT. With the right add-ins (and I have no idea which ones I got where anymore) I can quickly create names for people, places; generate calendars; generate the contents of magic and mundane stores; plus lots of other cool things.

The main page seems to be this one.

This (in my opinion) is THE Generator:

http://ebon.pyorre.net/

The ever changing book of names, take raw data and makes new names that fit an ethnic skeme.

There are chapters for Tolkien, Drow, Greyhawk, FR, etc.

I agree 100% Mr. Ellis. I co-wrote one adventure so far for LG and I used this for some of the NPC names. Very nice, easy to set up. I highly reccommend it.

Hello,

I have to agree that the Everchanging Book of Names (EBON) is the best utility I have found out there. Best of all, it is free.

If you just want some variety in your names, there are a great number of geneological sites and etymology sites out there with long lists. Some examples are:

20 000 Names - http://www.20000-names.com/index.htm
Russian Names - http://www.sca.org/heraldry/paul/
Medieval Names - http://www.s-gabriel.org/names/
SCA Resources - http://www.sca.org/heraldry/laurel/education.html

Hope that helps.

Cheers [:)]
