Why would you say that? If they weren't planning to support it anymore why would they bother putting this out?
Seems to me to be a way to show that the game may not be dead yet. Or perhaps a way to attract more attention to the game?

Huh....yeah I guess so. I guess being the Chosen One makes you go up in level faster. Obi-Wan trained since birth. Anakin trained since 10 years old. Obi-Wan also is ten years older than Anakin yet they are equal in level. | | Champion of the Skulk Vindicated Champion of the Twig Blight

No you do have a point. If there was no more RPG then Wizards could have easily just not mentioned it at all and pretended the RPG didnt exist. The final chapter could very well have been a way to draw mini collectors into the RPG.
I guess the pessimist in me saw it as RPG fans clamoring for a RotS source book so WotC put this in the back of UM to make them happy and shut them up. | | Champion of the Skulk Vindicated Champion of the Twig Blight

Yep, it's a travesty. But at least when we look at the classes we see Obi-Wan has more potential for versatility, and thus usefulness.
At Anakin's rate of improvement (since it takes twenty less years to reach Obi-Wan's level) how did Obi Wan survive even 30 seconds in ANH? |

| | That's what I'm wondering. Throughout the entire fight in RotS Obi-wan is trying to "Turn" Anakin to the light side, and when he finally does start fighting he kicks his brooding mechanical A$$. In a straight up fight Anakin should have schooled Obi-wan...at least by these stats. | | Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light.--Dylan Thomas

I don't think these stats make Anakin better than Obi-Wan, but equal to be sure. | | "We can't stop here...This Is Bat country!"

| | yeah....but he wasn't equal. I mean, which one of them walked away from the fight? ....or which one walked away from the fight with an even number of limbs? | I really don't think Anakin should be matching Obiwan in level at the RoTS point. From the book it made it pretty clear that although Anakin had a lot of talent the thing that decided the day was that obiwan was just plain better.

Yeah, but what was he learning?
A: Lightsabers hurt....A LOT! B: When your teacher tells you not to do something it can be beneficial to listen. C: The dark side leads to an extra crispy hide, and a mechanical gimp suit. D All of the above.
Even in a new hope Obi-wan pretty much toys with Vader until he decides to cash in his Jedi pension. I reiterate: Anakin was a punk. | | Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light.--Dylan Thomas

Be fair. Anakin was a punk, Vader was hardcore. Once he hit puberty and his voice dropped, and he grew about a foot he was hardcore (despite the onset of asthma). At least I assume the core was hard, would have to be with all that metal. | | "We can't stop here...This Is Bat country!"

| | I have to assume that all of the GOOD jedi died before Anakin became Vader, because after his little "bath" the kid in the scene with Bail Organa could have handed his butt to him. | | Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light.--Dylan Thomas

| | On a slightly related note. Once the helmet went on a Vader spoke. Whose voice was that? It sounded a lot like James Earl Jones but I didn't see his name in the credits. | | Robert Rosehart Champion of the pixie

I wasn't looking at the credits myself, but I do know that awhile ago Jones had agreed to return to do Vader's voice. So I assume it was in fact him behind the voice. | | "We can't stop here...This Is Bat country!"
