| We had just come under attack, from a Gorgon... and for some reason... we found the phrase "Gaze attack" hilarious. My apologies to anyone who may be gay... but it brought to mind the image of 5000 screaming orcs, in long sequined ballgowns... I shared the image, and we had to stop for a bit till the laughing stopped.
For weird.. our DM, whenever it comes time to role for attacks... if I flip him off, and say the magic words, "F%$# you".. he rolls horribly... eight out of ten rolls. | |

A Gorgon with a petrifying gaze attack, any thing like a Medusa's a breath weapon? A rose by any other name. You may still end up stoned.
In one game I'm currently playing, one of the guys plays a Paladin who always manages to keep out of the fighting on some pretext or other, e.g staying in the church to defend the women and children in case the monsters overrun the town, or else lagging behind whilst shouting for everyone else to "Hold the line".
Well last weekend he was out of luck. No defenseless women or children to look after, nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. The rest of us are all dead. He says "This can't be happening." DM says, roll a D20. He rolls a 20 (lucky sod). DM says, "You awake from your nightmare." The rest of us roll over laughing - we were in on it. | |

| | I have one player who has sleep apnia and at times when he doesn't load up on his No-Doze he starts to snooze. The funny part is, when he starts to nod off he will spontaneously wake up with a wide eyed stare and litterally yell at the top of his lungs "I attack it with my great axe!!". The rest of the group looks at him and starts laughing histerically telling him that the group is sleeping for the night or engaged with a friendly npc! He hasn't done it in months now with his new medication, but I have another player who constantly mocks him during battles and acts as though he is falling asleep only to yell out the same thing. It really kills me!!! | |

| One of my friends has a Paladin of Torm. During one session he was playing and my brother was DMing he enters this room filled with some monster and his character yells, "By Torm!!!!" He then proceeds to roll a 1, and then fail his dexterity check, thereby dropping his Greatsword.
The funny part is that it has happend multiple times, and is now a running joke.
Another time, the three of us were playing, and I was DMing. My brother was playing a drow Fighter/Mage/Rogue and my friend was playing a dwarf Cleric. They open the door to a room and see a dragon. My brother wins initiative and states his action: "Umm, I push the dwarf in..." | |

| Well, not exactly D&D but close...
Last year my friends and I all got together to have an all-night Warcraft3 party. We started at 5PM, and quit at 11PM... the next day. My friend's dad wakes me up to ask how the game was and I burst awake yelling "No you idiots we need more Ghouls before we attack the Orc Base!". I've yet to live that down; whenever the PCs get ready to take on a nasty encounter, sure enough one will say "Hey Brendan, do you think we need any ghouls for this one?".
